I am truly shocked. To acknowledge deaths of people on the net always feels so weird, and I remember some of those earlier on who passed away, and in this case it almost feels exactly like that.

Though I knew JAMES a reasonable bit more than only online and superficially, because I had both a good battle with him concerning internals and the experience of meeting up with him in real life once.

I will keep that memory as a precious one from now on, as a reminder of how friends are priceless and irreplaceble. I still feel I should had met up with James a lot more, because he seemed such a friendly guy to me.

Once again, my condolences to you, chux, and to James' family and other friends.

It feels weird to be posting after he's dead, he never even got to see the EDfQv2. But he lived long enough to see the WRTT under 36.

I guess that doesn't matter really. RIP

I have hardly heard at James but it's never nice when someone dies young. R.I.P. James.

I doubt I'll be able to make it in time, chux said they found him on the 7th, the funeral must've been already. Besides, I don't really live close to Bristol, not even in England.

If you just read the other topic, you would've found out that information. Anyway, chux told they found him dead in his bed last saturday, supposedly lying there a couple of days. I live in Amsterdam.

This new hits me harder and harder every time I think about it. I wonder how chux makes it through. I myself wouldn't be prepared for it if a close friend of mine suddenly died, at such a young age.

I think we ought to make a memorial page for all those fellow elma players who suddenly deceased.

I'm up for it! If someone gave me a list of deceased players I'd make a site for them. Id give them their own guestbooks in which people could write comments etc.

Besides James just now, I've seen already two, almost within one year till now;

http://www.moposite.com/mopolauta/viewtopic.php?t=4298

I think some memorial and respect for them is due. We cannot hail super swedes, super fins, battlers, designers, WR holders, internalists and externalists without remembering those who were unlucky and passed on early, way earlier than deserved.

Jesus, I can't even bring myself to laugh this time. The guy was exactly a week older than me, and we spoke a few times about Bristol and MK. Went through a period of playing his levels a lot a few years ago, not very competitively just cruising when I should have been sleeping. Was it not he who made that IQ level, with nothing but tiny ledges and polygons to get you up to the flower? A sad day for Elma, not least British Elma.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, means a lot. I didnt think he'd be so well known really, it sounds like he's impacted a surprising amount of people. Thats good to know.

He was a great guy and was always well loved anywhere he went, its nice to know that includes here.
