1st	15
2nd	10
3rd	8
4th	7
5th	6
6th	5
7th	4
8th	3
9th	2

I figured I could spam the news on the site here as well, to keep the thread alive and get free advertising hoh.

Small addition to the user/country/team pages, there's now some sort of graph showing the number of 1st places, 2nd places etc.

Changed the pointing system to include the top20 players for each level instead of just ten, rewarding those that send in their times no matter how crappy they might be.

Code: Select all

 1. 35
 2. 25
 3. 20
 4. 18
 5. 17
 6. 16
 7. 15
 8. 14
 9. 13
10. 12
11. 10
12.  9
13.  8
14.  7
15.  6
16.  5
17.  4
18.  3
19.  2
20.  1
Also, #skintatious is teh place to be!

Would you be interested in a "reward" section, where you could get rewarded for accomplishing certain things? Let's say every now and then there could be something like: "first person to get under 25,00 on xxx lev gets 10 euro". Or do you think it would kind of interfere with the whole feeling of the site?

WTF???? Playing elma for real money???????? :evil: :evil: :evil:

BsG003 5th 0:21,09 Image wwwDotcoM Today

....

BsG003 None 0:24,40 Image wwwDotcoM Today
(on the home page, when sending better time for same lev soon after last sent)

Guess my suggestion is to remove those old times from that list - i.e. when one sends better time, the old "record" should be removed (and every player has only one line there per lev).

Or maybe keep somewhere those "old" times and display them instead of "None" - as something like tracking the development of player for certain level.

This is because the change I just did in order to make the replay sharing feature easier to creater later on. Before, the database would overwrite your old times with new ones, it no longer does that.

And if you understand this: because of the idiocy of MySQL and not being able to do an ORDER BY before a GROUP BY, this is the result. I decided it would be better to display those times with placement as "none" instead of removing the rows and make the newest records table shorter than the newest users table.

Upload a record
This replay already exists in the database, suggesting that you just tried to upload somebody else's replay as your own. This has been logged and I have been notified, might I suggest you don't try it again?

Now, if for some strange reason you believe this to be an error, just contact me and I'll look into it.
I sent a replay I already have sent because I forgot to have sent it (my own replay).

Guess it would be better to check if the existing replay belongs to the user who uploaded it (again) and echo, say different less frightening warning :)

It is now finally possible to share your replays! You can find a link to the replay sharing page from the user menu. If you've shared a replay, there will be a link to it in all the record lists. There is also a list of the best shared replays for each level on the downloads page of course.

Let me know if you see anything strange, I've tested it as much as I can and right now it should be working fine.

You might see the text "Not shareable" next to some of your times. This is either because it was uploaded before I added a few security measures on the site, or because you've changed your nick (shame on you).

Well, if you take a look at the source code, i guess it must be because of this part :

Code: Select all

 /* If the replay is finished, do some weird calculatinons
           and set $outtime to the time in the format 0:00,00 */
    if ($time >= 0) {
        $i = $time * 62500 / 273;
        $outtime = sprintf("%01d:%02d,%02d", $i/6000, ($i/100)%60, $i%100);
    }
That cannot round up a let's say 23.999 time to 24. It only takes a big number ( which represents the time ... and i would love mila, viper or skint to explain that to me ! ) and divides it. This way, it calculated the number of minutes, seconds and milliseconds, separatly. You would have to make another type of calculation to get a rounded up time...

Not sure if i'm right but, that's what i understand from that. ( i don't do PHP but, suddenly, i feel like learning it ). It looks a little like Javascript...

Hey! I used skints recinfo script (http://www.skintatious.net/src/getRecInfo.phps) and when I want the levelname of replay Sk001nIN.rec it writes: "skint001.lev??" with some shitty ??s. I was wondering if anyone knows why this happens? How should I do to get rid of the two last '??'s?

Here's my code if it might help:

Code: Select all

   $time = getRecInfo($target_path2, t);
   $level = getRecInfo($target_path2, l);

   mysql_query("INSERT INTO allreplays VALUES('$user','$level','$time','$target_path2','$todaydate')");
I would very much apprechiate some help :)

level file name is allowed on (around) 15 characters plus "end of string" (EOS) character.

the script you use pick up a bloc of 16 characters into the replay file.
so, if you try to display it, the result is :
[m][y][l][e][v][e][l][.][l][e][v][\0][?][?][?][\0]

so, try to find first EOS character.

$iPos = strpos("\0",$name);
if($iPos>=0) { $name = substr($name,0,$ipos); }

hm, I'm not sure if I understand that code. I tried this:

Code: Select all

   $time = getRecInfo($target_path2, t);
   $level = getRecInfo($target_path2, l);

$iPos = strpos("\0",$level);
if($iPos>=0) { $level = substr($level,0,$ipos); }

   mysql_query("INSERT INTO allreplays VALUES('$user','$level','$time','$target_path2','$todaydate')");
But now there's no level name at all :/. What did I do wrong?

EDIT:
I really dont think that's whats wrong, since the script worked perfectly fine in skint0rs site. Skint, you made the script, do you know what might be wrong?

Coco is quite right. Actually I remember running into this problem myself way back. I guess I never got around to fixing it because it wasn't an issue for me as I was using regular expressions to match level names.

Coco's example seems quite right too, but like you I couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried. Anyway, here's another way to do it, although probably not as elegant -- at least it works until you figure something else out.

Code: Select all

if (preg_match('/^(.+[^\x00])/', $level, $matches)) {
	$level = $matches[1];
}

Unfortunately that code doesn't work :? . Now the name of the level comes out like: "Alu950.levv" with teh '?v' instead. On some replays this problem never occur, like in the Nin01.rec the levelname is: "nIN001.lev". But in nin08Bon.rec the levelname is: "nIN008.lev?v". A theory which I have is that it has something to do with teh name of teh replay-file. I will try and change the name of the replay in my script and get back to you if it doesn't work. Will edit this post later on.

That code didn't work, and my theory wasn't right (the one where I thought that the reason to why the ??'s appear is becaues of the levelname). Any other ideas? :(

I'm pretty sure I didn't mix them up. Here's the code:

Code: Select all

$target_path = "orig/a.rec";

if(substr($_FILES['uploadedfile']['name'], strlen($_FILES['uploadedfile']['name'])-3, 3) == "rec")
{

move_uploaded_file( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['tmp_name'], $target_path );

$k = strpos($level, '.lev');
if ($k > 0) {
   $level = substr($level, 0, $k+4);
}

$level = getRecInfo($target_path, l);

echo $level;

I'm planning on making a movie with various replays on my levels, so just a little note to the record holders: please consider sharing your records for it (not necessarily the rec files, but give me permission to use them in the movie at least). So far at least Jeppe, Markku, axxu, Zweq and Tm have given permission for their replays, but it'd be nice to have more (I've asked anpdad, Red, Matte and ap also, but no replies yet).

I haven't decided what levels/replays to show, and it might not just be the first place records, maybe I'll throw in some alternative or funny styles there as well. It'll be something along the lines of Elma Done Quick, but with a slightly more "chill" mood over it perhaps. I've already gotten quite far with it from the replays I have permission for so far, and it shouldn't take as long to do as EDQ did, since I don't have to rely on other people too much, and hopefully won't have to beg for too many recs. Plus I have the mood for it right now.

Anyway, I know the site isn't exactly too active anymore, but if there's any replays you wish to see in the movie, tell me here and maybe they'll be shown. Other ideas very welcome as well :*

Well.. I aint no pro and all but I do actually got one best time. I'd love to be in this movie! The replay isn't all that good, and Markku will probably beat it when he read this, but I'd still like to go ahead and take the shot. Please use my:

BaSk0119: annoyo system
1. 0:18,91 SWE katten

The replay has already been shared on your site.
