well, i talked abouth this case with SveinR, and isn't so clear at all

Started playing in: July 2006

but in the category definition

Notes: In the Rookie category, the definition has changed: A Rookie is defined as someone who entered the scene in the GAA period.

hard to define and clearly decide what is 'joining the scene' but if it means starting to play, the nomination and award is pretty much impsy for people who started playing in the second half of a year...
btw Kowal posted those times on the 1st of Jan on polish forums too, plays internals hoyls few hours a day most of the time since he started to play (registered [maybe = joined the scene] on polish forum on the 24th of July). i'm not his fan or whatever but i just think he kinda deserves the nomination, and it's impsy to get nominated after not even 5 months of playing - previous GAAs)
i agree that it should be more clear who can be nominated in this category

I think it's even harder to know when a kuski has started playing elma than when he has appeared first time in the scene.

And I think the current definition (something like 'entered the scene since last GAA') is conviniently inaccurate. You can of course suggest anyone you want, I think jury will decide one by one which kuskis are applicable for the rookie category.

at the end of the day noone really cares who invented it or made it first. can you tell me, off the top of your head, who invented Jaws bounce? even if you can, most kuskis cant. who do they honor as far as Jaws goes? the wr holder: Zweq. anyone can say "hey i wonder if its possible to brutal over pole in steppes", and anyone can try it for weeks and finally make lucky finish, but the person who should be held in highest regard is the person who mastered it and holds the wr: Zweq

for example, Zweq currently holds the wr in animal farm. but can you tell me who invented or finished his style first? i sure couldnt. everyone has forgotten that person

PS. can we just get rid of that category altogether?
