other then that.. i've beaten all songs except TTFaF and This life, the entire setlist up to the 7th tier is 5 starred, and i've even got two 100% (Slow Ride and Closer)

Of course.. all this is at expert, otherwise nat even worth mentioning =D

(BTW TTFaF practice mode i can manage 82% of notes hit, 300K)
id like to see some proof somehow before i believe all that. impressive if you have actually achieved it
the practice thing is ez believable, 82% is quite good, but could be a lot better.

pedro - keep trying, are you tapping the intro? it's too freaking hard for me to get up there with my other hand in time =P
try holding ur fingers up there from the beginning and strum with ur elbow ;o

How can 82% 300K in pratice be hard to believe? Check on youtube, theres a freakin 9 year old kid getting 96% and 754K :\ I'm quite sucky really.

An to SmaXa, yes I tap the intro, and like John said, ez with elbow strum. all it took was about 1 hour in practice mode to get the tapping, but much longer to get it consistant.

And to the Jordan talk earlier, Hellashes (some uber GH god) got 100% without ever losing his x4 multiplier on it :O

so your proud to get 100% on a song wich goes exactly the same all the time wich even my 12 year old sister can get 100% on and another song wich is the most boring and simple note chart ever?

I do in fact realise that both my FC's are easy songs. Nevertheless, FC-ing any expert song, even those two, is still relatively hard

my brother bought gh3 on christmas day, and i have been playing it pretty much everyday since. i have never played any earlier versions.

apart from a couple of songs, i have 4 or 5 starred everything on medium. i have given hard a go, and have only managed to finish a few songs.

Am i ready for Hard or should i stick with medium for a bit longer?

My main question is though: When do i really start to NEED practice mode?

i hope one day i can 100% a song in expert, but that seems sooooo far away.

also, what do you think is the easiest song to play? for me i think it would have to be bulls on parade.

the sooner you start the better it is imo
bob wrote:My main question is though: When do i really start to NEED practice mode?
hopefully never :) only time i've been in practice mode is to learn how to tap the intro to TTFAF
bob wrote:also, what do you think is the easiest song to play? for me i think it would have to be bulls on parade.
easiest to just play i guess is Closer or Sabotage... funniest is probably We Three Kings or TTFAF on Hard

i had a 1 week break from gh3, and when i came back to play some more i was beating my highscores all over the place. now i have, in career:
EASY: 42/42
MEDIUM: 42/42
HARD: 39/42
EXPERT: 29/42

i'm not good enough to finish One or Raining Blood on hard yet, but i still try.
and i was watching my big brother almost FC When You Were Young on expert, but he missed the very 2 last notes lol.. i can get 97% myself
i'm still playing, tho i don't think i will ever be good enough to even finish the expert career. right now i'm focusing on getting as much 5* on expert as possible (i have about 10 so far)

Hai. Playing GH3 for PC last few days, 5 starred all Easy and most Medium songs but can only beat 3 songs on Hard atm :S (Slow Ride, Hit Me With Your Best Shot and Closer).. Basically it's freaking hard to switch to the 5th fret and back without mixing up keys on a keyboard so should I buy the controller? :S Looks so easy with it from videos.

Because I play the piano, I find it really easy. Actually, I played GH3 two weeks and I was able to get through Cliffs of Dover on Expert. Now I am looking forward for One, and I missed 1 note on Slow Ride. That was painful. One single fucking note.

Besides, I would love to see AC/DC songs on GH. Wonder why there aren't any. :?

GH Metallica arrived today, still some issues with lag on ps3-version imo and as usual calibrate lag works like shit. Nice songs tho. 5 GH games now:

GH2
GH3

GH:A (was cheap ;p )

Honestly, I think GH totally sucks :(. I've only enjoyed it once and that was when a friend of mine had drums, song and guitar and we could play it together. Then it was still not the game I liked but the social thing.

I'm into GH mostly because of the gameplay and not the music :) Never been particularly interested in music, but sure, Metallica > Aerosmith always.

Already 50% through GH:Metallica Expert and even found a decent lag offset.

Through GH Metallica so I bought a new game, now my list looks like this:

Guitar Hero 2 (PS2)
Guitar Hero 3 (PS3)
Guitar Hero World Tour (PS3)
Guitar Hero Aerosmith (PS3)
Guitar Hero Metallica (PS3)
NEW! Rock Band 2 (PS3)

Rock Band 2 whooping GH's ass so far. Might even sell GHWT and Aerosmith cuz they are useless even with GH's standard. The lag in GH3 is decent and Metallica has coal songs so I'll most likely keep those.

I'm tired of musicgames, I can never find as good lag offset as when I played GH2 with a WIRED fukkin guitar on a stereoTV (which is how i first got in contact with the genre)... nabdevelopers going for design rather than function... i whane my guitar wired ffs. Might sell every game in the list i made above cuz so fukkin tired of lag

Why you just dont use/buy wired then? And yes, i got contact with the genre in same way (wired, stereotv). Though later i bought wireless guitar with GH:A and it worked well with stereoTv. Only lag i've noticed is in my gf's parents' plasmatv and it was impossible to play with it.

I have yet to find wired guitars for ps3... they seem to only exist to wii or 360 + many guitars are too plastic, feels like they will break after 2 songs. Even the Les Paul which is considered one of the better ones I had to modify neck to get decent gameplay. Detachable neck is sach a bad idea (again no consideration of functionality), rock solid and permanent connections between neck and body ftw. Seriously all musicgames has turned to the worse, GH2 had the core gameplay and its gameplay was pretty much flawless. Lately theyre just spitting out different versions to earn some more money. Only thing that was missing in GH2 was highlighted HO/PU (I mean really highlighted). And yes I have plasma-tv ;x

Oh fuck, ye i didnt remember that ps3 has wireless guitars :| I have GH1,GH2,GH3 & GH:A in ps2.. Only one for ps3(wireless) is WT.

I did some research from google and found few wired guitars. But i guess they won't work unless you have controller ports in your ps3(?)

At least the price of Rock Zero III Wired guitar isn't bad, $15+$4 so it's quite cheap.

Re: Songs you would like to see on Guitar Hero 3

Post by Grace »

Been a while since i saw this thread :P

39 FCs now lol, a few more still possible if i work at it (Helicopter, Monsters, I'm in the Band, Hier Kommt Alex, The Seeker, 3's and 7's, Same old Song and Dance, Kool Thing, Don't Hold Back, My Curse at least)

13.2m Career Score, but ez ~13.4 if i path all songs, atm i'm having some lag problems and Whammy is taking ~0.7 seconds to kick in, which makes pathing very very difficult.

Probably my greatest Pathing achievement to date: http://rockband.scorehero.com/scores.ph ... 1&vox=solo
