i guess if zebra still has some time, he could clearly make site.
He is clearly, along with kopaka and "back in the day" Abula, the true king of statistics.

2) if I may suggest in future versions of belma the possibility of zooming the textures not to 2.00, nor to 2.50, but to some value between them. At least, this would make sense using the ImpWezz2.

Wtf Is anyone even using that, cool.

Yeah I should be able to make something aswell, I'm no way as good as skint0r but can get some help from vk ect.

However as far as I understand we need mila to finish the new version before we can make anything. But he's like in usa or something? :I

I know, mila isnt here atm but I think it would be cool and not too much work if after each lev comes a rating from 1 to 10. The rating could be safed in the database and on b.attle.info could you see the rating for all levs. But maybe something like that was allready planed...
Where is mila btw? Will he ever come back? :cry2:

[12:22:04] <teh_mila> so atm this has to be done: add all new stuff to client (cups, 24htt, new battle types, update messages, many small updates) - thats like 5-10hours, fix all bugs in teh old list - 2 hours, security fak 2-6 hours, then i can release new version
[12:22:31] <teh_mila> then multiplayer another 10-20 hours
[12:23:12] <teh_mila> will have to test all new database fak, so i will prolly run it on my comp and test with a few random players i give new version to
[12:23:31] <teh_mila> there will prolly be some bugs cause all the code was rewritten from teh scratch
[12:23:41] <teh_mila> also in parts that worked before

getting confident we will see an update late summer, around autumn or before christmas!

2 feature requriets:
- it would be great if we could enter custom resolutions, like we tick custom resolution, so it no longer uses the default 800x600, but we can enter higher, like the 5120x3200

maybe the open source zsnes can help -- http://sourceforge.net/projects/zsnes/ (alraedy implemented custom resolution, years ago to help LCD screens)

- maybe too it would be great for the server program to be published -- the client program is alraedy great, and complete, with IP-changer and all -- server would be nice too, so people could play on their own servers, or with their own friends

- bug crash, not happens when I watch replays, but when I play, if I play a level using custom LGR, it's okay, but if I switch to another level not using the custom LGR, elma freezes and must be closed with CTRL ALT DEL.

P.S.: I'm sure it's not the fault of my computer, tested on others too...
note: my BMP folder is empty, using no nickname entered and PLAY OFFLINE.

thanks, milagros :)

knowing milagros, i highly doubt he created the server with usability in mind. not that it would need to be too much so, but it seems unlikely that he'd release something that's barely functional

Could be useful to have the serverprog to make own server for meetings ect. But I think he said he won't puplish it for some reasons.

And btw. mila is getting close to finishing the new version and he won't make any new versions after that, not that I think he's looking for new features, but if you have some brilliant idea, now is the time :)

Not sure if these have been mentioned, but:
-If internal error occurs-->go to main menu, don't quit the whole game, and don't generate the error messages (error.txt and error_b.txt)
-Remove this small dying/finishing delay, it's extremely annoying while hoyling intensively! Or maybe it could be made as an option, too, if everybody doesn't want it to be removed.
-Hide the .lev extensions in external level list (this isn't too necessary though, but they're sort of useless to display there)
-Fast search in internal level list, too (by using numbers). Of course pgup/down can be used, but if the lev is somewhere in the middle of the screen, I sometimes have to press arrow keys many times since I use big resolution :P

Those two first are the most important ones.

Milagros tried making this but it was too complicated or something.

The other ideas I like.

I've just read the last pages of the thread, and got a few suggestions for the final version of B-Elma:

- implement custom texture zoom (or improved, more precise range);

- implement custom resolutions, or, as some other programs are doing: to offer the same choice of selectable resolutions as the ones available in the settings tab of display properties. that way the laptop screen won't explode and by some accidental but yet unlucky way bring about irreversible circumcision (stress on "irreversible").

P.S.: maybe Abula or Pexi could put on the main page of Moposite a link to a page that displays the IP address of the current Belma server, e.g. 213.64.95.157

/2 cents

Yes, it took ages for me to surf around lauta to find the most recent IP of the server, just put it on frontpage of somewhere for easy finding.

Due to popular demand, here is a short tutorial on port forwarding:
(given you have Windows XP and Windows Firewall as the firewall)

- Assign Static IP Address: http://tinyurl.com/428fhb
(NECESSARY STEP PRIOR TO POKING HOLES THROUGH ROUTER)
IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.160 (default gateway being xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
Default gateway: this one you can see in the black command.com box
Preferred DNS: this entry in itself is sufficient; put same as default gateway

- Permit through incoming traffic: http://tinyurl.com/ab552
(YOU NEED TO FORWARD PORT 4461 (UDP) TO YOUR STATIC IP)
click on the router name, then on DEFAULT GUIDE FOR THIS ROUTER
(if you got your router manual handy you don't need to use that site)

1) port forwarding was configured, mapped at all times to your own computer;
2) belma was started, exited, then UNBLOCK was answered to Windows Firewall.

IS IT POSSIBLE to have the 'official' records page transferred into Belma (or maybe Elma Online site, kopa?) -> this way, we wouldn't have to wait 6 fucking months for update, only to have abula tell us 20 mins before update, and then lose half the states anyways. :P
