Quiz - Mind Trap

Post by Jalli »

I'm gonna hold a quiz which includes different kinds of questions. None of these are impossible answers and most of them can be answered with simple logic.

First one to answer correct gets a point.

If noone gets the right answer within (about) 24 hours, I will give the answer and a new question.

Question:

Which word does all of the students at Harvard pronounce incorrect?
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

Standings:

1p: Kopaka

Next question:

The manufacturer don't want it, the buyer don't use it and the user don't see it. What is it?
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

4. eh...citizenship doesn't come with where you born or live. They can live there like their whole life being jamaicans and the new kid too. Or does citizenship mean some else than "nationality"? And anyway the kid can move to a different country after he bornd... then his citizenship changes if it means the condition of being a member of a country

This kind of questions are cool...

Take this for example:

A number consists of 10 digits. the first digit tells you how many 0's there are in the number, the second tells how many 1's etc. until the tenth that tell how many 9's there are.

What is the number????

ChuckleS were right on no. 2 and 3. I will also accept his answer on no. 4, even though his formulation was a bit unclear. The answer I looked for was that he was born b4 the 1776 when Amarica got independent. He was therefore British.

Standings:

15p: Chuckles
2p: Rasu
1p: Kopaka, Xhomaz, KryptoN

Question 1: Two ships are equally big and strong. One is made out of steel and one out of wood. Find out which one that weighs the most and explain why.

Question 2: Which English word does not change prenounciation even though you take away 4 of its letters?

Question 3: In Okmulgee, Oklahoma you can't take a picture of a man with a wooden leg. Why not?

Question 4: Mister Y looks at the dirty windows in the 26th floor. Deeply depressed he opens the window and jumps. Outside the building there was a direct fall towards the ground. Miraculously he landed unharmed. Since nothing could ease his fall, how did he get away unharmed?

Question 5: Sweet Sylvia has 5 bags with candy that she is going to give to her nieces. 4 out of the bags contains in total 84 candies. The 5th bag contains 4 candies less than the average of the five bags. How many candies are there in the 5th bag?

Q3: cos you cant take a photo with a wooden leg, you need a camera.

Q4: cos he was looking at the windows from out a lower window.

Q5: I'll stick with 79 candies, 5x83 = 84x4 + 1x79
(clouds right, too much beer, not enough reading)

Question 1: Keep loading it with stuff until one sinks, that one weighs most :D
Question 2: Queue (Q)
Question 3: need a camera...blahh
Question 4: 1st floor window
Question 5: 79!
84 x 4 = 336
336 + a = b
b/5 = a - 4...right?
