Is it cheat?

Post by DaFred »

Do you think it is cheating if you use nitro for making your head invulnerably but only for a testlvl?
Cause its annoying if you wanne hoyl a part after a difficult part but its impsy to build a good testlvl.
Actually its already cheat to build a testlvl or not?
Or do you think it is cheat if you use safeload (dunno how it works exactly) for only testing new styles or hoyling levs if you drive a correct non-cheated rec after the hoyling process?
Atm I only use testlvls but I was thinking of making my head invulnerably...

I add a poll where '+' means 'I think this is cheat plus all options after'
So to choose the first option means 'all options are cheat for me'...

well, obviously making a test level is not cheating.

Everything else you mentionned is cheating if you use it to play in battles, cups, make internal times.

But as long as you keep those "cheats" in your test levels, i can't see no harm.
Sure it could be considered cheating, but i would classify these actions as testing.

It can be considered cheating when the actual cheating is used in a run that's in competition or a scene-public environment, when the rules are set to no cheating allowed. When you're in a nitro-battle (OK, this will not happen, but theoretically speaking), nitro wouldn't be cheating. Under normal circumstances, using safeload for real times and nitro and shite is cheating. For höyling, you aren't messing with the final product of the process. You could make a testlevel so that it lets you start at the exact place, with the right speed and angle, but safeload helps you here the same. Though safeload isn't made wide available, so it's rather dubious to use it even for this unharmful purpose. I used the gravity trainer a great lot, and unfortunately in belma and served my time for that, as it was cheating, even when not in battle.

HEY!!!!!! Mila.. Could you implement a "I will Cheat" flag/button. That you can enable before you run elma.

With this enabled you can use nitro's or whatever cheats you feel like.. but you cannot enter any battle and your statistics won't get submitted online =)

Other wise you'd have to use 'em cheats offline always unable to see others. as for instance that invulnerability testing mode dafred was talkiung about.

Or ye.. only implement: "Test Mode" and you're invulnerable, can't enter battles, no statistics, but can see others.

just an idea.

Why didn't you just enable users to select more than one answer?
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

I am quite surprised you managed to even create a poll so complex, all by yourself!

if u play only some train lev, imo it has nothing to do with cheating. but when u start playing on belma or making some real internal times, it becomes bad :|
