Who invented the internals...

Post by body25 »

...Balazs Rozsa?
I mean...it would take a genious to get this variaty, or does it gets variated and crazy by itself?
For example, shortcuts in Headbanger and Enigma ,-maybe- i could have come up with myself.

But lets say, for creating and knowing that shortcuts in

High Flyer (WR style)
Steppes (WR style)
Ramp Frenzy (WR style)
Freefall (WR style)

would be possible, there would take a lot of the constructor. Did he use some kind of simulator or what? I just dont get it...

Edit: spelling

Balazs and Csaba made all internals except Bowling, which was made by MUe. Balazs had no idea whatsoever about the different styles, which probably is why the internals are as good as they are.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

i understand Csaba made the majority of them, and Balasz a few, and MUe one.

yup this post was pointless. Anyway ya they didn't have any clue about the styles because some of them are too crazy to think about. They just made the levels so they had a few ways to be completed but weren't thinking about crazy styles like ramp frenzy.

They didn't know shit what could be done with the bike, so they planned shit what was supposed to be done with the bike.

No, they aren't cruising this forum, or taking pretty much any notion of what goes on in the scene. Balazs has stated in an interview that he had no clue about styles. And Across, the original game, was initially made with no ability of volting, that feature was only added because it was too difficult (thankfully though, because without volting the game would be pretty uninteresting). So clearly the styles used now were not in their minds at all.

I guess in old internals from across they didn't know many styles. In newer (elma) they probably designed more for styles, that's why they aren't as good as old one's. Maybe apples and polygons was placed to be out of reach but still visible for player,.. apparently they wasn't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't downhill designed by some unknown designer? Available in one of those official level pack?

I just think the levels were designed to make things LOOK possible, and actually in most cases they are :)

Think about Long Haul's apples or Ramp Frenzy's apple...

It still is an interesting approach, making levels fwith let's say those online motocross gamebikes in mind. You get more free, openly spaced, wide levels.
