I think it was zworqy who liked the level, so it's in the pack.

not a single ecchi level made the cut :f? and antz483 but not 485 or 497 or 551 =/? wonder if you had more than 10 levels to check from, from me ._. should i have uploaded them all somewhere or was antz483 really the only one worthy?

i mean, there's 40 zebra levels and maybe 2-3 per designer of others, is this reasonable?

edit: well anyway, don't know if it matters at this point but http://up.k10x.net/qjxmrxmuprrsf/antzpile.rar there's 12 levs made in 2008 with recs included that i think are equal to or better than that antz483 which i didn't much like myself because the whole lower right area was annoying.

I kinda agree. But I guess in the end you must nominate your own levels if you like them. Don't expect the scene to remember your works unless it's really special.

But, i think that zebra himself did not choose them, maybe Svein, zwor and others too, but still, have to agree. :? And, even there is many players in the jury, the jury players still arent online the whole time.

1. I don't think those packs are complete.

2. The levs and recs are taken from what the community suggested and jury suggested ones.

3. What matters is what's finally nominated.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

hey, you are 2 months late! You should have collected your level pack in the first phase of this GAA and posted it to this thread! Now it's a bit too late. I remember we had just this same conversation last year. You ppl just don't bother looking up the best levs of yours in the first phase and then complain about it later. But well, I can go though that zip and check if there are any good levels there.

The pack isn't very official. I added those 40 levels of mine there just because I wanted to suggest those to jury. Other jury members didn't suggest many levels either. But all the levels they suggested, are there (so there weren't any 'cut'). Of those levels 10 will be chosen to the 3rd phase and i guess there will be max. 2 of my levels so you don't have to worry about that.

Actually, if you look at the pack very closely, you should find all of the levels suggested (=uploaded) in this thread. So, the pack is actually collected by you, so you shouldn't have anything to complain about it.

I checked whether the antz levels were suggested - they were but not uploaded. So we couldn't get them. Would be too much work to search the internet for all the levels.

This might sound that i'm angry at you but no, i'm actually only a bit disappointed. But let's try next year with better luck, won't we? A good habit for everyone would be make a 'best levs' subfolder to his level folder and copy all the good levels there during the year. Would be then ez to paste them here when the time comes next year.

About those antz levels, they are very great. Especially the styles and the recs are amazing. The only bad thing in those is that they are really hard.

I updated the rec pack so that it contains all the levs which were missing.

Antz, about ecchi levels, could you upload them here so that we could see them all? Because you will be nominated in art category for those levels. At least I haven't seen them all and don't know if they are downloadable somewhere.

And yes nIN, i agree that we have to move on to the 3rd phase now as fast as possible, so i didn't add the antz levs to the pack. Though SveinR can look at them and nominate what he wants...

yeah i guess i was too passive. just didn't really feel like advertising myself, since i didn't participate in the first phase. could've zipped and sent all the levels if you'd asked for them. sth like "hmm people have voted kuski x as levdesigner, let's ask him to send his levs so we can evaluate them." maybe in the coming years!..

well, anyways http://up.k10x.net/cmbypgjwhjwzi/ecchi.rar (18+) for the ecchi levels & replays (yes it's missing ecchi16 and 17 i haven't finished them, and 18 and 19 are also antz560 and 563. i didn't have replays for the ecchi## versions so included the original battle levels instead.)

wish i had the energy to wrap it up, remake a few more levels and polish the rest so i could release them in a nice pack, but cba =P. maybe in a year or few.

-> please note that some of the levels have graphics that are not safe for work or children. by downloading the .rar you acknowledge this and promise not to sue me!

finally got that ecchi zip - i've been looking for teh fr months lol.

yes Antz, you will be nominated for art for those for sure, however imo some of them aren't the greatest levels (playability-wise,) but think, if a level of yours gets in, it'll probably win (cause your a good designer)

i know, it's part of the reason i haven't been that eager to share them, and as you can notice from the images in 18 and 19, they are remakes of older pics already.

hardly a secret =P. i find a nice picture, turn it into black&white in image editor and make sure it's as smooth as possible. then i use vectrast (radim's levmaker) to convert it to a level. it usually still comes out very messy looking so i spend a few hours 'cleaning' it up in regular elma editor. after that it's a matter of finding some useful polygons/surfaces i can build the level around. scaling to proper size in ale of course.

http://up.k10x.net/ucscvrloqpota/ecchi12.gif here's a nice 'work in progress' gif i created while cleaning. the vertex count climbs pretty high with the smoothing =P, ecchi04 and 05 are both close to/at the allowed 5000 vertex limit.

original looks like this: http://up.k10x.net/fpdowwcfsztwe/ecchi12o.jpg
2color version like this: http://up.k10x.net/vggyqlqcqvotc/ecchi12.png

Community Award
This will be an award decided entirely by the community. You will vote for the people you think most deserve a special honour, be it for their helpfulness, kindness, contributions or simply for being a great player. The reason will be the individual voters' own decision. The idea is that the award will go to the kuski most appreciated by the community. There will be no set of candidates to vote over in this category, each voter decides himself.
The voting process for this award is therefore different, see below.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

You are only eligible to vote if you are one of the following kuskis (why?) (listed in alphabetical order):

adi, Bismuth, Cap_27, Coc0k, Costya, error, ExTeC, FinMan, Igge, insane guy, Jappe, kjozgi, Kowal, Labs, Lukazz, Markku, Mawane, Memphis, Mika_27, milagros, Morgan, niN, OtorK, Pascal, Pawq, sla, SmaXa, Smibu, Staar, The_BoneLESS, tijsjoris, totem, wiElOryB, Xiphias

Remember that you don't have to vote in each and every category, but in the categories you do vote in, you have to pick your top 5. Your vote won't count otherwise.
In all categories: Only base your votes on what has happened in the GAA period.
Site: Vote for the sites that have improved the most and increased its relevance the most over the GAA period.
WRs: See http://www.moposite.com/records_elma_wrs.php

When voting, send a PM to SveinR with your votes. The votes have to be given in ranked order, from 1st to 5th. Each 1st position will give 5 points, each 2nd position will give 4 points, etc. The jury will assemble these points when the voting process has ended. You can only vote and send a PM once. Do not make your votes public in this thread.

Voting for the Community Award: You will list up to 3 people, in ranked order from 1st to 3rd. Each 1st position will give 5 points, each 2nd position will give 3 points and each 3rd position will give 1 point. Send your votes in this category in the same PM as your other votes. You do not have to vote in this category. I would encourage people to write a few words about the people you vote for (if you have something specific to mention), because when we present the winner of this category, we'll include your reasons behind voting for him in some sort of speech. Which will be based on what you've written.

Deadline of sending in your votes: Friday January 9th 2009, 23:59 EET (GMT+2)
Note: The GAA08 period is from December 17th 2007 to December 15th 2008.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

He's not danielj (better known as Dani) or Daniel Santo. He's Danish.

I heard about that Lumen is some Russian oldschooler. Atleast in belma they said he had some cool elma team. Many players from there (russian allof them) started again on belma.

So, please ask him yourself that when he started, and did he have that team, because im not 100% sure of that.

Ok, but it doesn't matter when he started playing elma, only when he entered the scene.

So, every Russian, Polish or hungarian player who has never logged into lauta or belma and has been active on their own sites activately since they was created, is Rookie?

Do you think NHL for example take into consideration if Vladimir from Russia started playing hockey when he was 8 or 23 years old when voting him for Rookie of the year?
