I don't know how much this replay is caused by turning, or if it's just a bug. But the head sure does go quite a bit into the wall:

mmh i have often experienced it the other way round
when the head was 1 cm away from the wall on my screen
and i switched i died
really sucks
id apreciate if u could turn off this animation

when you press space, your head gets skinny and taller
you can use this to your advantage in he he when trying to miss those things
but it's also a nuisance when trying to turn when upside down when you're close to the grpund

the problem is that you don't see where the head is when you're turning
can be tested whether you died
just delete the time events of turning and it will turn wihout that 'animation' and you'll see

playing without that will be really annoying. Then you would get in the wrong direction sometimes I guess... happends to me allready
