since the times page is taking more and more time to load, I've started to wonder where do people want the redirect after uploading a replay? I've been thinking of separating wrs and top10s from eachother because whats the point of loading 2 things everytime when person X is probably interesting in seeing 1 thing only?

I updated the Grades, people are slowly starting to climb higher and higher.

Also, don't forget the JoPi50 chainlevel, a 10 second pipe-level shouldn't be a problem even to the worst anti-edit0rs out there :)

We need feedback on this:

Really nice that the site is getting smashed with times :D I personally think you should be redirected to a user page after you uploaded a record it also makes it faster to upload many records. but maybe you don't have a single user page, maybe you upload on the times page? I haven't registered yet so dunno.

I personnaly like it the way it is. I don't think anyone uploads that many replays in a row very often so the loading time isn't much of a problem.

But of course, if you were to make it load faster, you could only display the WRs and by clicking the level, you would get top10 on another page.

And as for the redirection, i would leave it on the Times page. After all, after uploading a new replay, you just want to see your new time.

I found a neat javascript tabber and attached it on the jopisite, the way you can browse in times section now is just what i wanted.

anyone knows the correct term for "wrapping" or "minimizing / maximizing" tables, thats another thing i want for the top50s, i googled for a few hours and found some javascript that was nearly what i wanted, but then again, not quite

no need to re-invent the wheel ;)

I think expand/collapse is the thing you are looking for. Simply it could be done with javascript changing div-elements display to none/block, you can't hide a table or just rows or cells I guess.

Ok I need help with combining all JoPi50-segments into one level.

Problems:
#1 ALE crashes instantly when trying to add 2 levels together, causing a massive spam of identical pop-up windows.
#2 ALE removes pictures (how nab) and some of the levels has pictures in them. I don't whane lose the pictures and I don't whane put them back myself trying to imitate the original design.

Help :_(

Ok I merged the 49 levs I found into one huge level. JoPi01 is in original position and I tried to arrange the other ones in non-overlapping rectangles, so you can arrange them yourself like you want. By now the bounding box is way too big, so you can't test it. If this lev is useful for you, you can PM me JoPi50.lev to include it too. I won't share.

If you get those errors try right-clicking the lev-file, select "open with..." (or "open" if it isn't in the list) to choose ALE as program. This works for me, while I get the errors by starting ALE directly or opening the lev by doubleclicking. GL

Edit: It also works if I just hold Enter to close all those dialog boxes. ALE starts and is usable.

Just wandering if you or me understood something wrong. Thought the chainpie, JoPi50, will constist of only the segments made by other players :)

Oh yes lol, I got it now. Thank you :D

I thought he wanted to make a chain lev of all JoPi's. I was even wondering how that could be finishable. Anyway, I would put all segments in one lev file so John could merge them...

So, do you guys who put your own signatures in your segments want me to put your full-length nicks in there as well? And Pab is it ok if I leave your name out? Since you already wrote it yourself (would look weird with name twice)

I've already denied others to submit. And even with the 7 segments that I have now the level is turning out pretty tricky. 8 or more segments would be really tricky to finish. But if this turns out nicely I might do more chainlevels in the future. Perhaps just by myself and another player as guestdesigner in each level (like Marathon by infected and I). But really, my motivation is pretty fukkin low in all aspects of elma tbh.

I just noobed myself in ALE. Didn't add LGR and such in Preferences => all pictures lost. Motivation today just died. Another try later.

Edit: If you want, give suggestions for what font to use for your name(s) http://www.dafont.com/ . I could do one font for each name. Font can't have too many details tho.

You can use whatever font you wish for me, as long as it's readable ;) (Unless you prefer me to choose mine? means less work for you)

Anyway, good luck and try to find some motivation!

Ok, I dont add your name anywhere since you already made it yourself.

All levels of JoPi50 are now connected, just had to reinstall ALE about 4 times. I have a saved copy of whole lev WITH pictures, but when I try to open the level after quitting ALE pictures are gone (even though I've changed lgr-pref and such). That will be the next problem to solve. Still a huge step in the process :O

I don't know if i said this before, but i really appreciate your work John. I don't know much about you, i mainly know you because of this pipepack, and i have to say this is awesome. One of the best pies i have ever played, though the hardest too. Most of them are perfectly well made and, if not, they are pretty good. Your pies were sort of a motivation for me to become better at pipes.

I hope i will someday be able to finish Jopi42, this, is my goal in life.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the levels. Unfortunately I'm not doing much "work" atm. Once ALE has let me do whole JoPi50 I'll be rolling with normal editor again.
