I agree that 70e/month would probably be too much for our scene, in the long run. But if that 15$/month would work well as a server, then we should definitely be able to keep it up for as long as we want to.

I hope those registrations will be invite only, ez no confusion then as it is now, when some berh is able to use 50 different nicks in a day.

What irritates me is all those alias and fake nick names, you never know if someone is good or bad or new or old anymore by the first you log in.
And yeah, check out that 15E/month server, i'll will ez donate.

And all respect and salut for mila. He deserves some money for it!

I have to agree with polarix, makes me feel like a damn noob when someone logs in with some random nick and beats me in the battle. Who are all these noobs with all the time on there hand to be changing nicks every time they log in. Just use one nickname!

Fakenickers annoy me as well, just like in any game. Some people might not dare to play with their own nick, because it makes them look bad if they don't finish with a good position. But so fucking what? That's what they are. If I'm last in every battle then so be it, I don't have to hide behind some fakenick.

it's not a secret, end-users are in majority ungrateful. No matter the program does work, there still miss "a button with a lighter blue here" or "a button to do something" (whereas he never said before he would like such functionnality). I know it because it's my every day job;
this said, you do the work without any substancial feedback - at least in lauta - and i respect your work just because of that reason

I spent 15e on beer today. I guess belma will live on 30 a month, if someone were to arrange all the server-side stuff and make it simple for people to donate.

ok, from now on, everyone hails mila
the wr holders of course don't waste a second and send an e-mail to him with all of their wrs in a rar or zip archive included. there also has to be a .txt file (or .rtf) with the following body:

Hi Milagros!
I'm sending you the World Records you wanted, because I know it's your will, and also you wanted very much to be appreciated! I know you have got enough money, and like this game, so the only thing you need to feel better is the sign that you are somebody of a great importance in our community. Therefore, here you are, I hoyled them hard and would never give them to anyone else, but after what you have been doing for us, I decided to share them with You. I do know you are getting older now, and I do know you spent a lot of your private time to develop the game so we could experience what we'd only dreamt of. So, let it be a prize for you that you do deserve. I know it's only your will if you release it or not, and even if we give you all the wrs you say that you won't release it's ok because you did so much for us!

and the non-wr-holders just say here how much they love him, and state that if they had any wr they wouldn't think for a second and would send them

let me start (whether i'll be counted by his mind or not)

mila i love you, you spend so much time for us ur cute :*

I think it should be only mila. He is the person who is not going to spoil EOL with leet haxs. Not that Jon is going to do that, but ppl one day may be bored and start showing off his code knowledge... Mila is not such a person.

"Heolah, we are moving our server and I can't keep on hosting Elmaonline server. Current server costs 70e/month and the new one will be 0e/month. If you want to keep it, I need that 70e/month. ez if people fix an auto 0,5-1e/month transition at the bank.
I think no one will have troubles with that kind of cash and if enough people do it it's those 1e/m is enough.

server requires:
possibility to run executable applications (can be compiled in both win and linux atm, may depend on the linux distribution) 24/7
mysql with relatively large amount of data (GBs?)
no idea about the traffic as the amount ofdata tranfered will grow quite a lot comparing to belma because all lev files are transfered
some irc server it can connect to, i wasnt able to find one without kline from moposite
ping may be an issue for flagtag balles
