a few days ago Kopaka has registered the domain http://elmaonline.net and rented a server

after a whole day of suffering and trying to compile 32bit balleserver in 64bit os we finally resolved all issues and it is running (only for closed group of testers)
beta testing will stay on elmaonline.moposite.com, however the final release will be on this server
so I guess Kopaka is already paying for it (starting today), so feel free to support him (PayPal or what)..

Since it seems we'll be using this server permanently (for now) I've set up donation page here http://beta.elmaonline.net/?s=donate you can read more on that page.

It tracks who donates what, but I didn't make any table with that info. However if people want it, it's ez done, it has kinda been the custom to do in elma scene (moposite, skint0rs eol site)

If you can't login or it seems like all your stats on your userpage is gone fear not. Nicks are randomly changing, they will be restored periodically untill the problem is fixed.

I can't see the issue anywhere else, and I'm pretty sure you are aware of this, but can't enter eol site settings to change Team for WCup6.

If you got me to change your real team (not cup team) you want to log out, close browser and log in again. Also you might have to reshare your replays from "my times", all got unshared at one point.

Finish count rankings are calculated incorrectly.
Example: http://elmaonline.net/battles/60927
Take a look at the players's result pages, the rankings there of this balle is different.

Could you please make a public version of the database(only results part of it[balle results, internal times, level packs, wcup, ...]) available to download?
I would be happy to play with it, run custom queries, make interesting charts. :)

Money for paying the EOL bill are running low again. The donate page says it's paid for one month more than it actually is, because it assumes I pay in time. But fact is there is not enough funds to pay the bill from december 27th (have 2 months to pay) and the one before I paid myself.

So for one I wanted to make people aware. Secondly I wanted to know what might keep people from donating, you need another payment method? you don't think EOL is worth it? you're too lazy? you weren't aware? you simply can't afford it? or something else?

We probably have some of the leftovers from world cup 6 donations, but not far enough in that process to know how much and transfer them.

The reason I haven't donated in a while is simply because I forget about it. Donated some $50 now and while I did I noticed you can make recurring donations. Might be worth setting some $5-15 monthly, and if enough people do it it should be more than enough. This will also eliminate laziness/forgetfulness factors.

I think it would be nice if you could offer something "extra" for the people who donate. Like a monthly subscription. I have absolutely no idea what that could be, but if there would be at least something, people would probably remember better and it would encourage to donate more often. I'm not saying eol itself isn't worth the donation - it definitely is - but you know, it's so easy to just forget about the donations when everything just seem to run by itself and nothing seems to change whether you donate or not.

Oh and yes, i will definitely donate soonish.

not that i have lots of money to donate at the moment, but since i don't have a paypal account (and not planning to creat one), i'd much rather donate, if there was some normal bank-transaction option, if that's possible.

SMS donation woul be nice, but I think you lose many % of the money one donates then, but could be good for smaller amounts.

Hadn't seen the recurring checkbox before, must be something relatively new. Will try to figure out exactly how it works, though it may be obvious. I like the idea of some sort of reward, however insignificant it may be, something that require you to keep up donations even if just 1$ a month in average.
Lukazz wrote:not that i have lots of money to donate at the moment, but since i don't have a paypal account (and not planning to creat one), i'd much rather donate, if there was some normal bank-transaction option, if that's possible.
In case you don't know, you don't need a paypal account, just a visa card of some kind. After clicking the donate button, there's "Don't have a PayPal account?" down left. SMS donations more hassle than it's worth I'd think. Bank transfer would be doable, just requires some work on my end, checking bank account and then transfering to EOL's paypal. Could do if there's enough demand, but using paypal is just so much simpler, since I can pay the host directly from that. Isn't visa cards pretty common nowadays?

I think that the point is that you can pay with both debit/credit cards, Visa Electron (which is very common, dunno ofc all the other countries) works so what's teh problem??

Good idea. I find the EOL level pack system really boring at the moment. A lot of random packs I have no clue about, doesn't really inspire to hoyl.

Aye I need a better way to handle it when there's a lot of times, basically the issue is it loads the html for up to 10k times in your browser, and limits with a jquery script client side, so either your browser or the jquery script can't handle that always, there's the doesn't show more than 10k first finishes issue aswell.

I've inquired the host about the problems with the website, still yet to hear back. In the meantime you can access it on s.elmaonline.net.

For your upload needs you can still upload on kopasite.net, select upload file on the top right.

Would be really nice to download shirts individually, like click on a shirt to download it.
Or even greater but dont need to do it, its just an idea: a page with last updated shirts to keep up who updated their shirt.
