Correct me if I am wrong but if you quit before battle ends and you lead and it turns out you win .. like what happened for me in this battle http://elmaonline.moposite.com/?s=battles&b=584
The next time you join Elma Online your replay will be uploaded? Seems like fine idea.. but what if I join 1 second after a battle has ended and someone elses replay has been uploaded? Will they only have the chance to download that battle replay for 1 second until my replay takes over? Do they then have to go to elmaonline.com to find the replay?

Chances aren't that big of this happening but I think it happened once last night and it will probably happen again some day.

edit: So I joined EOL and my replay never got uploaded.. nor is it on the site.

maybe it is my computer but sometimes Elma crashes and I can't force quit it and have to force-downboot comp.

Happened to me today right before a battle ended.

There happened a mega fast udb reconnection and my elma froze:

Code: Select all

udb reconnected
udb connection resest
udb reconnected
those three within a hundred of a sec.

dunno if useless bug report :P

In elma multi battle standigs do not work correctly. sometimes it crashes and almost always it looks like half of players played alone or with themselves. I played with nekit and in results was our time but Tigro Tigro 1:12:xx instead of Nekit Tigro 1:12:xx... should check and fix, mila.

I don't think it should show who gave you it, it will just cause more hatred. There is ban appeals for asking/complaining about bans, which you have already done. I didn't answer it because there's yet no way for admins to answer you privately.

This testing version is also a test of this system and the rules, so don't take it too seriously as you'll start on a fresh in final version.

:O o,o
There should be some limit that speeds over 400 (or even 300) just doest count, cuz impsy make legit >400 / >300? speeds on internals. Or maybe admins should just delete bugspeeds.

I'm not sure where feature suggestions are supposed to go, or if they're even welcome anymore, but team chat would be very useful and as I'd imagine, quite simple to implement.
then again i don't know anything

A weird, obscure bug: if you're typing in the chat while watching recs with "Randomizer", your chat gets cut off when one rec ends and the next one begins. It doesn't happen if you're watching a single rec.

hm very strange mysql error, where it could not add new item into table without specifying index because it already existed even though it did not
it could nto have been added in phpadmin either, so i guess it has nothing to do with my code
fixed teh by skipping it, still very strange bug and not fixable for the future, nab mysql

I met up with an epic bug. Every time I alt+tab from EOL, my connection goes down for few secs, it happens regularly in ~1,5 min after I alt+tabed.

Yes I was doing some updates, but inet went down for some time and didn't have time to finish it last night, it worked in closed testing server because there were fewer results there so it's some rounding problem I think.

Ali wrote:this multibattle - win time is 31.02 and win rec 33.1 ... wtf?
This thing happens to me always when playing or dl'ing multi win recs, now i played this multi balle with Ali, we won with 21,99 but the rec was some 22,4x. I bet it uploads last finished ride by winners instead of the win (fastest) one, since that was our last finish before balle ended. And it happened to me some 2 times before too, im 80% sure that last finish has been uploaded every time.

And now when trying to watch online the replay, it only shows one kuski and ofc from that last finish rec.

I don't know if these are already mentioned, but in multiplayer the other player's one wheel -status is always 'no', even when it should be 'yes' and some crippled multi record tables aren't working, like multi no throttle.

dame there's so many eol threads. :o

a few suggestions and things to discuss about the irc bot:

1) if you decide to keep using the current look on teh battle announcement ("New battle: Normal on Beisik14 (8 min) by Xarthok http://elmaonline.moposite.com/?s=battles&b=1726"), remove the bolding from teh url, makes it a bit more readable. after all it's definitely a good addition.

2) as for whether the bot should paste results (many have said this is completely superfluous as full stats are found on site), my $0.02 is: i agree, results are probably not needed in the channel. if you join the battle, you'll see the results ingame. if you aren't interested enough to join the battle, you probably aren't interested in the results.

3) obviously, bot should also announce when a battle is stopped or aborted (and by who), like in belma, and surely 24h tts and cups. maybe also announce when somebody is kicked from the server? when rights are given/taken to/from somebody? when someone makes best time on an internal (of the times in the database, of course)? on any lev? on any lev that already has a best time on it so as to control the amount of text a bit? like "Best time on Internal xx / yyy.lev by Player: 1:23.45 (http://url.to.the.level.stats)"?

i understand the last suggestions would probably cause the bot to paste stuff a lot, but then again i don't see how it would be bad since pretty much no one uses the channel to actually talk (obviously some delayed line queue is needed so it wouldn't flood excessively in a given time if like 5 players beat a time almost simultaneously). now having said that, maybe there's no need for the bot to bolderize any of its announcements since it's the only thing happening there. or maybe bolderize battles to distinguish them from other announcements? in any case, #battle would become an easy place to check what has been happening recently. #battle would have a reason to exist.

what do you think?

when you open one EOL, then open another one, then press F12 (cause obviously at first when you open 2nd EOL you can't connect) you can't see others. :)
