Should elastomaniac.com take over elastomania.com?

elastomaniac.com MIGHT BE TAKING OVER elastomania.com!!!!!!!

Post by Slender Belly »

I have emailed Balazs and I might be taking over elastomania.com.

I think it is needed as its current state is boring for such a great game.

Balazs still hasnt replied but it looks hopeful.

If I was to take over I would turn elastomania.com into a really great site with a forum (the same software that is used to make Moplauta) and many other features.

It would give a new face to elma.

Tell me what you think! Fill in the poll and spread this news!

This is not a joke!

From elastomaniac.com

PS. Balazs would still have the final say on what would go on the site and stuff, i would just help.

Also remember if I was to take over it would be updated EVERY day!

Good luck.

We have also asked him twice also but they have said "no". Last time Balázs told that his brother, Csaba, is designing a new outlook.

OK THEN!

Post by Slender Belly »

Ok Abula. He hasn't replied yet so I don't know what he will say. Hope he says yes.

I am making a forum on my site using the same software you have used to make yours.

Who knows, one day it might be as popular as Mopolauta. My new forum has the potential.

Chao.

Why you need another forum if we already have this?

My personal opinion: Last time I visited it the site has 100 ads, pop-ups etc. Those irritate other people much. Also all your levels are "stolen" from other Elma sites, so actually you are just providing sucky bandwidth. Create something yourself instead.

Like what?

Post by Slender Belly »

The only reason I have levels on my site that are from other sites is to be on top of the levels list on elastomania.com so my site gets well known.

I will soon be adding plenty of other things to my site like a forum contests and so forth.

Give me some suggestions.

i dont find it necessary to give away classic elastomania.com, i mean, what could be done so much better anyway? it would anyway contain basically same basic info like faq, about, links etc.

ok maybe the current layout is kinda confusing, especially the links page. i agree that could be done alot better way. maybe its cuz ive never heard of you before; how could balazs0r trust you with the site? i agree though that the site should have a redesign or at least some improvements. on the other hand, it would be a perfect situation to bring out something new, like info about future version while publishing design changes.

damn it new version would rule :*

ps. for some reason i cant vote

Post by Slender Belly »

I know many people don't know me but I have been playing elma for atleast a year but have only gotten more involved in the last few months.

Whether Balazs could trust me or not is up to him.

I know it would be hard though.

But I would do the site a lot of good. It really needs some appeal to it.

I doubt you'll get to take over. Another forum is really not needed when we have this one.

Btw, about the levpacks on your site. It doesn't say anywhere there that those levs are "stolen", so people might think you've made them. I don't think that's really fair.

Just a tip Slender Belly, don't advertise so heavily for your site. You're scaring people away.

elastomaniac.com IS NOT TAKING OVER!

Post by Slender Belly »

I got a reply from balazs. This is what it said:
Hi,

I'm very sorry for the long delay. It is me who make the game and it is my
brother, Csaba, who makes the web site for it. I don't want to get away
from him his contribution to the game. So I say no, but I appreciate very
much your offer. Thanks,

Balazs
So i'm not taking over. Oh well. I should get back to making my site, elastomaniac.com, and taking over the world, mwahahaahha.

PS. Just in case, I was joking about taking over the world, Abula.

Yeah, right. This is the most pop-up infested site I've ever seen... Each time(!) you click on a link 4 (!) pop-up windows appear.

It DOES look good, though.

Strange... an hour ago there was a lot of pop-ups like I said, but now there's only one... It keeps reappearing, though.

The reason why there is one particular pop-up that keeps coming up is because it pays for my hosting and .com domain. I cant afford to pay for it with cash. LOT OF MONEY.

But on my pc thats the only pop-up i get. THERE shouldnt be any other popups cause i dont use cheapo hosting like tripod.

oh well.

Heah, I use Opera so I don't get any pop-ups. Why don't you people who are so irritated at pop-ups be wise and do something about it?

The MopoSite

http://www.elastomania.com/levels.htm

On elastomaniac.com "they" (he?) say that there are currently 13785 levels on the site. Well I decided to download some packs and check if the amount is correct on the page. Surprisingly it is ;). But there are many same levels in the packs so actually not 13875 _different_ levels. And a bit under 14 000 levels is quite far away from 20 000+ in my opinion so I think me or you should mail to Csaba and ask him to fix the list on elastomania.com. Thus actually Moposite has more levels than elastomaniac.com :P. The newest LOM levels are missing in the amount on elastomania.com.

Some other improvments:

- zippack3.zip link is broken (didn't test 5, 6, 7)
- The link on the levels page to other downloads is wrong
- Forums page has had a text "come back in a few hours" two weeks at least
- Privacy policy page gives 404 Not Found
- You could rename the level pack zips in better way. zippack1.zip tells exactly as much as 1.zip

yeah, what's up with this guy? start little by little, and don't hope for to much, like making this post before getting a reply from balazs. if you would have talked to ppl, in #across for example, about asking it from balazs, they would have told you right away that there's no chance in hell, and you wouldn't have to get dissapointed after getting a 'no' :)

and another thing. how can it be the #2 elma site in the world if none of us have ever heard of it untill now?

you's are all sad

Post by Slender Belly »

You know. soon i will be closing elastomaniac.com cause i dont have time for it anymore.

By the way, all of you people are pathetic. Including Abula. I mean, you are all crying because my site has levels from other sites and there arent really 20 thousand there are only 14 thousand and so fourth.

Well i am starting up a company and making something of my self while you people site in this forum complaining and whining about everything.

Like, oh there shouldnt be elma 1.2 because the higher res will make it easier and oh, should we make a pause in the newer elma because somethimes my phone rings and i want to pause it or someone rings on my doorbell. You know i wouldnt want to spoil a run because elma is my life and i'm sad. Oh if i one 3 million dollars i would make elma meetings in every country. I mean what the fuck? You people would actually site in a room and discuss elma for the day? I mean open your front door and breathe in the air and do something instead of elma.

Some of you people are so sad that you claim you know longer eat because you play elma (in one of the elma articles).

Who the fuck would stop eating to play elma?

You people are sad, sad people.

There are plenty more examples but i cant be fucked so a suggestion to all you people is to DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIVES.

Ps. I know people are going to reply and say i'm wrong so go ahead, even though you all know it is sad to do what most of you do.

Pss: To abula. Get a life. I mean you complain that people say lol in posts and actually say in the rules you cannot say lol. What sort of loser would make such a rule?

Fuck this forum, fuck elma and fuck all you sad cases that disagree.

I AM MOVING ON AND LIVING LIFE, YOU SHOULD TRY IT.

Jesus Chris man, how old are you again? What was it we said, that we didn't like your idea? Yes, that was terribly mean of us. Up till now I thought you were just weird, but now I realize that you are also a psycho. Just get back to your great life and let us keep on doing what we're doing, ok?

Just for the record: Slender Belly's posts were actually 5000 feet long and said "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL"...etc.

Slender Belly:

Hopefully you understand that those articles and most of Elma stuff are just for fun and not so serious things. Of course people won't stop eating and sleeping because of Elma (except DarMoeD ;]).

I don't get your point and why are you talking shit to us. Because we don't like your site as much as you wanted us? Because I noticed you have lied the amount of your levels and thereby tricked people to your site (you know I don't like that kind of webmastering)?

Life? At least for me it's something where I'm happy. And I'm happy with my life now.

Elma doesn't need you. Goodbye and be happy.
