<Pawq> at a gym you have only 3 options: 1. have your eyes closed, 2. stare at yourself, 3. stare at others, all of which are either super boring or disgusting

That would orchestrate really really nicely with a decent lead vocalist over the top.

Dude. That game sucks a big donkey cock. Why not play the best? Elma!
Re: Interesting links
Elma is indeed the one game to rule them all. Period.
Re: Interesting links
elma no win8
Re: Interesting links
Pab, there appears to be something wrong with you're signature. Your welcome for mine directing your attention to that problem.

teajay, I am being quite serious here - I would like to know how you run elma in win8. Mine lags embarrassingly so, making it a task to play. Do you know what the problem is/how to overcome it?teajay wrote:I have windows 8, and I can run it quite right.Pab wrote:elma no win8
Re: Interesting links
Seriously? I can't see what I did different installing it. I noticed a slight bit of sloppiness today due to something running in the background. But furthermore I don't know what could be causing the serious lag you're experiencing. You have a brand new computer, that's what I think I read in the other topic the other day. I have a laptop with i5 processor and sdd disk, 4g ram. I assume you have already tried compatibility modes aswell.
Perhaps you have installed it in the normal program files? Could there be a difference in the way programs are run (64 vs. 32 bits mode?). I have no clue here, but this might be something worth the try. I have elma just in a folder in documents, no real installation in the registry as far as I know.

Re: Interesting links

Elma just runs badly in win8 - that's one of the main focusses of Elma2project iirc.A.K.B. wrote:I have elma in similar place. In folder blah. Wish it would run smooth.

Re: Interesting links
didn't feel like creating a new topic for this but it would be like "Games similar to elma". I am sure there was a topic like this somewhere but couldn't find it.
Anyway. NightSky HD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC4xWv9Fyes is so far the game that reminded me of elma the most. Its not about the physics, but mostly about the level design that reacalled so many good memories of elma levs. Actually many of the levels in Nighfall would work pretty well in Elma. Impsy shortcuts and there even are a few hang parts!
This game made me say funny things while playing. For example: "Whhuuuii!" "Hiiihiiii" "Ohhh" "Ahaa!" and made me smile or even laugh several times. Believe me, this is not normal when I play.
Only thing I miss is some kind of timer (and rec function), because the levs are really hoylable but whats good about that if you don't know your time...
The game is featured in the current Humble Bundle https://www.humblebundle.com/ , so if you don't have it yet, go get it.
greetings from Mr. insguy

Re: Interesting links
Yes, Elma runs badly on Win8. I was messing a lot to get it to work, and did so. The solution is to run it windowed. Happy battles already for 6 months
Re: Interesting links
dz, I cannot seem to get it to run windowed, can you tell me your exact solution? I tried two different windowing programs to no avail.
