I have a question and a concern. There appears to be no above post to yours as per mentioned.

Also, very nice!

Is everyone allowed? I'd like to play in it, just to say I've been part of a world cup.

The goal is to have all 15 levels ready before the cup starts. So ASAP but if you are working on a level or have an idea just let me know beforehand if you are working on something special. Also remember, for this type of events ppl tend to wanna show how great levelmakers they are, and many sending in overworked/overplanned big complex levels. If you do that there is probably less chance for your level to be chosen. We need a variety of levels. So if you have some good idea bigger chance to get chosen. We need levels of all lenghts and styles. Both multistyled and more straight forward levels. When we have gotten more levels we might ask for some special type of level to get the levs complete. But all that depends on the levels we get. Maybe we get a nice variety of levels so wont be needed. We might get back to you with some questions about the levels or maybe ask for some changes. Also remember as in prev wcups we might do changes we feel are needed, if needed.

I don't think my levels will make it into this cup, but I gave it a try anyway and made 3 levels. And no they aren't all flats. Only 1 is flat and there are no circles.

Is it ok to send in levels without fine tuning and if the choser people like their playability, is it possible to add details (grass, all the other design, minor playability tuning etc) afterwards?

To lev jury: If you think some submissions could be made great with a litel bit of effort, you should talk about fixing it with designer or just ruthlessly fix it yourself. Lev picking should be more of a quality control process than an art contest. Not saying it is sash, just waned to drop a thought.

Might be fun if someone who understands höyling writes a blog during the cup. Summaries of each event, style comparison, score clarification (in case there's some skip system that's deemed confusing) gossip, whatever. Video format might be better for comparing styles but takes more effort. Another pasibility is just embedding recplayer in a blogish structure.

Deadline is August 31 I suppose but the longer you wait the less chance I suppose there is that your level will be chosen because there will be less time remaining for changes and feedback and most levels will already be picked.

If anyone wants to write some kind of analysis or whatever of results, players, levels etc. they can get rights to write on the blog on worldcup6.com for maximuz exposure. Same goes if someone wants to be in charge of collecting interviews. Maybe ville can make something on the site where players can type in interviews themselves, but we might get more if someone is asking them personally. Contact one of them in charge if interested.

Now one month till world cup 6! Remember to make some levels. Try to send them 1 week before the start, but if really necessary you can wait untill the 31st august, although that might lessen your chances.

i have 2 levs i made years ago, other one is two and a half min höylä and the other one is 30s long tricks abound like lev with 10 planned routes (dunno which one is fastest though). but i could also make just normal retarded battle level and submit if it feels good just need to know: what kind of levels you still looking for?

I'm assuming they're still looking for all kinds of levels? The more they have to choose from the better, so even if many people have sent a certain kind of lev you might still have a better one. Just send all levels you think would be good for a wc)

Then again I don't know anything.

i think any lev is good for any cup. only like few exceptions: sink type of levs with fps dependent holes and sach. It's more about legacy and competition and sach

zweq, please send levs. Igge is right, we want all types of levels. But well, we are still needing a Harvest (if I get a good enough harvest, I could easily make but want other ppls levels) Also maybe some lev that sticks out in some way (hard to know before I see. And its no levels thats 100% yet, it all depends on the total mix of levels sent in, one level might make another fall out and so on. Also you can always ask me to do visuals if dont orka or dont know how to, just tell how you want it, framed, thin, thcik grass etc. Ill fix if lev get used. :D

Im having troubles joining irc lats week, sucks. But contact me here on lauta with PM and Ill reply (also you can send unfinished levels and ask how it could be improved) I am more than happy to test levels on the make.

And zweq was right too, any lev is good for cup. Wcup is about beeing able to hoyla (prove yourself) on any levtype. So in way levels doesnt matter, still ppl remember certain wc-levels over others, so Ill do my best to collect. Gotten much less levs than I thought I would btw....

i'd like to have one of my levs in the wcup too, but i don't want to hoyl my own lev for a week (because i usually don't like hoyling my own levs and beacause it's lame to play your own lev in a wcup) and that's why i didn't make any levs.

thundr.... 10 levs sounds quite much... rather make really good levels....

and igge. better not wait too long. still the goal is to have all 15 events ready by sept 1. (allready realizing it might be hard) but really want to know all 15 events before start first so can make sure good combo of all levels.

and lukazz, you can play your own level. its wc and ppl play like crazy! so your advantage wont be that major. People always played their own events in the past, MP even won his own lev. (allthough I got alot of shit when came 2nd on own lev in wc2k, but havent heard anyone after that getting put down for it) Also I will most likely make some minor changes so you cant prehoyl and know all moves :)

more levels are very appretiated!
