"I play elma"

I got this idea while interviewing a few kuskis at FEM2015:

When I asked people to introduce themselves, many said: "I am ____ and I play elma".

It's a simple line but with a lot of meaning. I think it would be great to collect as many videos and/or audio clips from players around the world as possible. To show that elma is international. To show that elma has no age restriction.

I want to use these clips for the trailer I am making at the moment. If many people participate it will be very impressive.

So what can you do?

A. Record Video:
Record a video of yourself in which you state your nick and that you play elma (looking into camera). Simple. It does not have to be super high quality or anything but the audio should at least be understandable (close the window before recording, dont sit next to a running dish washer etc.). If you use your phone to record a video please refer to this PSA.
(edit: You may actually say whatever you feel or think about the game)

Of course video is preferred as I am making a film. But I can understand that some might not feel comfortable with it. So I'd also be happy if you

B. Record Audio:
Same as above, but without the video.

Please send the files or links via pm, email, skype (davidmadry9), post it here or any other way you can imagine. It would also be great if you could spread the idea and maybe ask your offline friends, team members, old players etc.

i don't want to show my face, would it be okay if i sit at my desk, actually playing elma and film myself from behind while saying the sentence or should i rather just record the audio?

Works for me. And I can still just use the audio if in the edit it turns out that it doesn't fit. Thanks!

I have no camera right now. Can I just record the audio and b) okay in my native language? As it may illustrate the concept of a multi-racial and -country community, better imo.

Oh, so it's pronounced "Elma"? I've always thought it's "elmA", heh.
Now I just need to figure out how to pronounce my own nickname and I'll be ready to record.

the emphasis can be different between different languages. say it how ever you feel the most comfortable with.

So far I received three epic videos (Lukazz, Zero and Nekit) and one audio file from twipley. I hope that more people will join as this is starting to get really interesting:

twipley said something in his own words and from his own perspective which I really like. So if you don't feel like saying "I am ____ and I play elma." You are free to say whatever you think or feel about the game.

I could do one in english and one in swedish just for editability.

I always assumed it would be a Japanese pronounciation. Ku-chi-tsu.

I've been putting this on hold, because I wanted it to be perfect. My plan was to have a friend film me all geared up and ready to run a waterfall, then I say "I'm niN, and I play elma" just before I drop off that beast.

But it's off-season now so this hasn't been done! Can it wait until march/april?

hehe. I will do this as soon as possible but no water at the moment! when it's done it will show the world what an extreme variety of people this scene hosts!
