how does "default ground/sky" work in EOL? I noticed it changes the foreground in level's settings, but you can still spy ppl in that level afterwards. I u change foreground manually (e.g. brick to ground) game thinks of it as a new lev.

If it didn't show foreground "ground" in level editor in levs that have originally different foreground it would not raise questions in my.

I didn't look at the code, so this is just an educated guess:

The function in eol that loads the level ignores the values for fg/bg in the file and just sets it to ground/sky regardless.

Something like:

level = LoadLevel()
if defaultGroundAndSkySetting {
level.fg = ground
level.bg = sky
}

And that would have no effect on what level id you're playing or anything since it's just changed in your computers local memory.

Mythinks low FPS lets the wheel travel a bit into ground before the game realizes you touched the ground? Lower FPS and more speed = more reach into ground.

There used to be a lev like this in those old moposite training levels)

Here's the oldest lev i remember of, where it was used in the wr style, like 20 years ago indeed. From the Official Level Pack: https://elma.online/r/lm7e3ooiec/0lp18asl

Only works with low fps (60 is fine in this particular case), due to wheel clipping into the poly with high enough speed and low enough frame step i guess.

Cool, my old level.
I still can't forgive MuE for moving that apple inside that polygon. It was'nt there when I made level. Kinda hard to tweak the game back then, so I hade very hard trouble doing that trick.

For me it's now a big mystery that why do some levels (at least Skint???.levs) have times with asterisk (*) in EOL? Are they cheated times? ;) Are they some unofficial imports from some other system?
