Across ported to Windows

Post by Smibu »

About a week ago I ported Across to Windows. It needs original Across 1.2 assets and I don't want to distribute full assets myself. Sky picture needs to be replaced with a larger one for fullhd reso to work. Labs has made a zip in discord with asset fixes (there was also a bug in killer animation).

Repo is here, see known limitations and changes: https://github.com/Smibu/across

Here is the easy way to get it working, just download this and put the across exe from smibu into that.

Also check the readme file in it.

Current changes (if lazy to go on github):

Code: Select all

Customizable controls (including alovolt, brake alias and ESC alias)
Centered camera by default (disable with nocenteredcam.inf file)
Option to use lev and rec subdirs, and get unpacked res files from exe dir instead of parent dir (enable with newdirs.inf)
Death/finish delay removed
1920x1080 resolution support
Bike size (zoom) min and max bounds extended
Fast search in lists
Item limit in lists increased to 20000 (from 600)
Replay filename length limit increased to 15 (from 8)
Included 5 levels from Across 1.1 in internals (after Apple Harvest)
Escing in internal lev menu goes back to internal list instead of main menu
Start brake bug fixed
Some crashes fixed
