TableCreator 3.14 FINAL!

Post by zworqy »

So, I've made this program for Elma that creates an HTML table
based on stats.txt. Now you don't have to write all that by hand,
just the fine tuning, since the table is very simple.

Get it at http://zworqy.com/elmaguide/files/TableCreator314.zip.

That's nice idea to develop something like that...
I can help on this becuase i developed many time table creators on my past (using excel, access, ASP, VB and many more) so i have some experience but i think everyone that really needs it can develop himself one... that's why I'm not publishing mine...

Anyway, also every team needs to have at least one programmer to develop time tables...

BTW, Look at mine - http://www31.brinkster.com/tsmile/times.asp

Oooops, turns out you need the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK installed
for this to work. I'll try to find some way around it, if I can.

You can download the SDK if you want, but it's 131 MB...

BTW, the program is written in C# (CSharp), that's what's causing this.
There's also this runtime around that will do, that's "only" 20 MB.
I have done the improvements I mentioned above, but I might as well
wait with releasing it...

Here is the complete .NET Framework SDK, if you want to create your own programs (131 MB):

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... /setup.exe

This is the smaller version, enough to run other people's applications (23 MB):

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... tnetfx.exe

Don't want to seem critical, but could you also put decimal/period for the hundredth marker? The XX:yy.zz format is the most ascetically pleasing imho. No biggie. Very helpful otherwise.

OK, djacosmo and everybody else:

TableCreator 1.41 is here, with "point" as new option for hundredth marker and some minor design changes.

OMG, TableCreator 2.0 is out!!!

TableCreator is now a lean, mean team-times-updater machine!!

The reason: Now you can insert stats from different kuskis in different text files!
Create an entire team times site in a matter of seconds! All you have to do afterwards is to add the total times and mark the team records!

PS. Don't forget to download the runtime you need for the program.

TableCreator 2.1 out already!

I found some small but irritating issues that I corrected. Also the HTML table the program produces looks nicer now.

New Features: Team Records can be added automatically! OMG! OMG!
TableCreator is now complete, when the HTML file has been created, you don't have to change a single letter in it!!!!

TableCreator 2.31

I've removed bug(s), added features (correct hundredth marker in total times) and improved the source code quite much, so the execution should be faster too.

Yeah you seem to have the dotnetfx alright.

Exactly what did you try to do?

Does it say that the "Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application" generated an error, or was the word "Application" on it's own line like in your post? (Indicating TableCreator I mean)

If it's the CLR that's wrong, you should try to reinstall dotnetfx.

I can't help you then, since my copy of TableCreator works (obviously...) and I don't have that version of dotnetfx. But people apparently got the previous versions of TableCreator working with it.

Has anyone the same problem? Can anyone get TableCreator to work with that version of dotnetfx?

Code: Select all

Det gick inte att initiera programmet korrekt (0xc0000135).
is that in cause of any ".NET runtime"? as you wrote in "help" file
can't u du it in another language so I don't need the ".NET runtime"
20mb is pretty much with a slow connection..

Heah... I have "secretly" been improving and working on TC, since I use it to update our teamsite.

Current version: 3.10
New features:
  • 10 independent input fields for 10 players & files
  • Status Bar with information on how many players has been added and other info (Dialog boxes are now only used for error messages)
  • levnames.txt file isn't necessary if you want to create tables for internal levels
  • You can select a name for the output file
Planned features: Ability to select colors in the table.

If anyone wants me to break my "promise" and release this, please tell me so!

Edit: Forgot about output file

TableCreator 3.13

Yes, that's right, a new version! 2,5 years of nothing but here it comes!

Changelog:
  • Bug fix: Now tablecreator doesn't miss if a player only has the 10th time on a level
  • When you fill in a name, the filename textbox will be updated automatically (usually the name and filename are the same anyway)
  • Other small fixes and optimizations
PS: If you wonder what happend to 3.12, it's an unreleased version i had, but the source for it is lost :(
