World Championship in Paris 2003

Post by zworqy »

Talk about the ongoing World Champoinship in Athletics / Track and Field here.

Do you think there will be any (more) WRs?
Best Athletes? Best Performance? Best Result?

I've got only one thing to say:
CAROLINA KLÃœFT (SWE) Heptathlon, 7001p, 6 PB
Comments are redundant but appreciated :-)

Ye Klüft is quite good =)

I don't expect any WRs, but of course you never know.

Best performance I have to wait answering, but most 'interesting' was Jon Drummond yesterday ;)

Edit: Oh, and Norway won't even be top 10 anywhere....maybe in Javelin :)

Im just waiting for the Olympics next year...

Dwayne Chambers will win everything he competes in...

Don't you englishmen know your own athletes names? It's Dwain Chambers...

Hmmm... 17.72 in Triple Jump for Christian Olsson (SWE) so far... his 4 jumps are the 4 longest in the competition... DOMINATION!
Jonathan Edwards is old, very old...

Bergkvist, I believe Cloethe won :P .

Oh yeah, the Dutch 4x100m relay team got a 4th place 8) . This is pretty good concerning the fact they have PR's of about 10,20 - 10,30. They improved the Dutch record two times (series and half finals), it's 38,63 now.

Heah, we didn't come in top 10 anywhere. Best result Javelin #11 :P

Cloethe was kind of in a class of her own today, I'm hoping for a quite exiting competition on next year's Olympics.

Cloethe rulse, especially that style she uses when she jumps :D

Too bad she didn't make wr today, would've been so coal to beat Kostadinovas old one finally. She even had it in her today imho.

And btw, Norway did get top10 :P

Trond Nymark ez 8th in 50km walking thingie :D
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

too bad Kluft didn't wanna do lenght-jump, cus when it was Lenght jump in Heptathlon she pulled the start 20cm back and still won that...
She did'nt wanna compete in "normal" lenght jump, dont know why... maybe not so much of motivation, well she could have taken gold there atleast medal for sure! she's 20years old OMG! and she almost highjumped 1,97 wich is WorldClass also, i mus tsay i'm very proud over that swe girl ;) she will keep on untill she's 30-35? :D

But i think Jonathan Edwards is 2-3rd best memory, he's so cruel, not this WC but all others, allways when it was looking bad in big finals he made those HUGE jumps, he's one of the gr8est...

sweden, keep on ;*

Yeah Kluft could have competed in quite a few normal finals (high jump, long jump, 200 m) indeed. I believe she got 22,98 on 200 m. She would have been competing for 5th place in the final with that.
