driving school...

Post by insane guy »

hm.. i just wanted to know your experiences with driving school...

few hours ago i failed the driving test (theoretical(?) already done), this means i can do the next one in a month or with bad luck AFTER summer holidays (3months or so) and togehter with new lessons it costs me about 200€...
well you can see im pretty fucked up...
but good thing is that i can blast my mind away today... and tomorrow... and so on...
so what about you?
failed or not? most of my freinds made both with first try, but i was simply too nervous....

Bummer, I failed my driving test 3 times before I got it, but I've had over 6 years of fine free driving (a wonder considering my driving habits  ). It sucks that you can only take the driving test only once per month, we can retake it the next day if you can get a booking. I costs only about 50€ per test including lessons here, so much cheaper too. What ages you need to be? Its 17 here.

Good luck next time,

Drew

No no no, you got it all wrong. You CAN take the test the next day, theoretically speaking, but all "test stations" are always full in Sweden, so noone can get any time in a month after a failure.

18. If you mean to practice driving, it's 16. You need to be 16 ½ to go to driving school, though.

I failed while I was driving. The theoretical test was no problems at all. But when I failed when driving I went so mad!

Hm, I failed the first driving test too, did one stupid mistake (turned to left from right lane in 1½-lanes [in summer there are two and in winter only 1 because of snow and the street is quite narrow] one-way road, should have used left one of course). Second test went ok, no big mistakes. Phew it would have been pain to fail again :/. I was upset the whole day, couldn't sleep and hated myself, I guess I've got over it now. Not kidding. The good thing is that I consider myself as a very bad kuski and therefore try to drive very carefully.

I got mine of the first try because I'm sweet at driving. Only 1 speeding ticket in more than two years, up until I hit a car and left the scene of the accident. Now I have a suspended license for 3 years. I suck haha

As for ages, you have to be 15 1/2 in Ohio, USA to get your learners permit (can only drive with parents), then you have to take 24 hours of in-class driving school, then 8 hours of in-car instruction. Then when you turn 16 you can get your license, provided you accomplished all that other crap.

im gonna make the not-driving part of it next thursday, i hope i can do it so ill be able to get driving lessons on nov. 20. Here you have to be 16 and a half years to start learning, and 17 to get the licence. If anything goes fine, ill get through it in the middle of december. One of my friends has failed the 3rd time today..
It takes about 90-100.000 HUF here, about 350-400e!
