Olympic opening at Friday 13th but everything visible to the public seemed to go smoothly. Though once it looks like that guy on the cube was going to fall down (he slipped). Must have been awesome being there for real. Last summer I was on trip to Gothenburg and went to the Gothia Cup 2003 opening, really nice atmosphere there and then u could only imagine how Olympic opening was.

ye maybe it will be better than sydney?-)
I was lucky enough to go to olymics before, the best atmosphere ever, its very unique in its own way.
anyways the swimming rivalry with america will be tougher than ever with this new guy, claiming he can get 7 gold medals, well we would have to see about that

I was mostly surprised about the fact that North and South Korea are competing as just Korea.
Also quite funny that Iraq and Palestine got so much feedback.

Ok, what about guessing the numer of gold medals for 'your' country?
I'm guessing Norway will get three...maybe four.. I have doubts about five, but we may get that as well..But at least three.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

latvia's dust. only chances: A.Fadejevs in 50km walking, S.Olijars in 100m hurdles and V.Scherbatichs in weightlifting. But poor chances anyway, I.Vihrovs who had gold in Sydney (gymnastics) got 15th, lol. I think max corrupted jury in teh gymnastics ;(
