It's Blake. Maybe his levs dont look so cool today but he was a pioneer inventing many of todays basic tricks.

omg cant answer to this thread even i wanted. VJ32, yes-couple nice levs like the water LOM thing etc, and others yes,I don't know who is best. skint0r will soon come up with 36 or so new great levels, at least the level number 04 looked good as we get to play it in VIP battle with devin and couple other guys :)

VJ32? Do you mean the guy who have made lots of remix levs of others like adding fast speed gravi apples and distracting pictures? Played some of "his" levs in empacks long time ago.
...hmm didn't see any water lev in water theme he has made

damn no one likes my levs, well good that I don't do them anymore *sob sob*

Across: no idea, I didn't know much about the levmakers back then and unlike elma there weren't written "by xxx" in the end of many levs. Played some psys across levs later and those would have been really nice back then.

Elma: Olliz was the first who made typical "cruising" style levs = fast speed, lots of detail and lots of cool stuff that happens are almost half-automatic so you don't need to be a very good player to finish. Fuidas levs was little bit same and now Ville_J has taken the crown. I like Ville's levs the most but Olliz made the standard
Bartek and ramone have done both many levs with internal look. Bart also has the advantage of making those damn figures which I can't do at all :D. I personally don't like the internal style that much but still I've played ramones contests more than many others heh

hmm come to think of it bart is the only good designer who haven't got an own levpage (psy kinda too because his site is offline)

psy was easily the best across designer.

Olliz, Fuida, Ville_J are all good levelmakers but i don't really like to play that level style. BarTek also very good but like MP said, too much like internals. I luvs yuos levs MP ;*, ALP is definitely the best pack out now.

Well I don't feel I can make an accurate decision as to who is the best designer ever, as I wasn't around during the across days. I hardly know anything about Blake's levs, so...

Anyway, of what I know:

psy, skint0r, Xhomaz, BarTek and MP. I really liked Olliz's levs back in the day, but now I mostly think they're too messy (meaning: Way too many pics, I'm not a big pic fan) and too speedloopy.

I like these designers for those styles they have:

1)BarTek: great use of editor, for example the mask-using. He makes his levels a good visual beauty.
2)MP: fantastic tricks he has in his levels. also great designs.
3)Olliz: good difficulty in his levels, and excellent use of pics.
4)Skint0r:Good internal style, but then his levels are better for höyling
5)Juble, VilleJ, Zebra, just like Olliz i think.
6)psy, Blake, great across levels, blake invented a lot new style for driving levels. (think of Claustrophobia, Recklessdrivin', and of course Locked wheels.)

back in the day I used way too much pics, half of the time you cant see your wheels. Have been trying to reduce the usage abit

I think Bartek places his pics the best, internalish, doesnt affect the drivin but still looks kool..

my favourite levmaker is Olliz, but i'm not a great judge as i have never played skinternals, chain levels or anything
