New IRC Elasto Mania Trivia Game!

Post by sierra »

Think you're a pro? Think you know who invented all the styles, who made all the shortcuts, who was the first to do all the times? Who won every tournament, and who had WRs in the different tables? Make your way to #mopokuskis and challenge the Elma trivia champs there.

So far we over 150 unique questions about the scene, and we are getting at least 20 more every day. Please feel free to send us more challenging questions if you can think of any.

And for those of you who like to see their name on a records list, here is a challenge to beat:
Record streak: sierrah of 27. Record time: sierraa of 1.165. Record wpm: sierraa of 72.103004.
So get yourself down there a.s.a.p and find out how little you really do know! N00b!

One can here see that Sierra played much alone (or against opponents with much larger ping than him) on his own questions and also typing answer to questions b4 questions and then pressing enter as he saw question getting lucky once :P

4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

just a reminder: if you are going to send questions, make them in the format of <question here>*<answer here> without the <>'s

lol Jalli nice try, although i'm afraid you will find that you get autobanned if you do that trick you mentioned... the bot regards any answer under a certain time to be impossible, and bans you.
<pedro-MK> sierrah, your ping is 0.95 secs.
lol oki you might be right about this

I tried what jalli mentioned btw and your record is accepted, but you get banned. I made 0.4 sec time on my own triv which seems to have a ping of 0.2low. I got autobanned with that btw.

i wanted to beat the fastest answer
so i wrote thousands of 'mr' by pressing up+enter in 20 secs
then i wasn't able to write anything in next 10 mins:)
and everybody was slaping and kicking and blahlbalh

..there wasn't any question with answer 'mr' during that period

Jonas' record of under 1 second must be cheated in the same way

AND must have had amazing ping

that record will stay for a long time

The answer is completely correct the way the question is phrased, but it was in multiplayer. His first singleplayer wr was over & under as you said...

Ofcourse

Make your way to notepad, write a question and send it to 8ball:

What is my name?*tijsjoris

so in this formula:

Code: Select all

question?*answer
And yes do it! :)

UHm, I assumed your trivbot was same as the original one I started with.
You had to add the question mark by yourself there.

yes it was a scramble with the answer "tijsjoris" and i accidentally said tijsjoris instead of tijsjoriss what i was planning, to do some hinting.

Anyway, I just played for the score 4444 now

"you can instantly send the message you already typed"

Hm big chance you get wrong answer then. Although I have one thing to do some luck with: zyntifox in clipboard. I just can't type it that fast.. :P

Anyway I haven't seen you give it a try. As far as I know my only competitors I should worry about are Markku and Tantal. They're fucking fast. Markku also knows more about alp and olp and lost levels than me.. :)
