Toringe drives 37 mins in 24h

Post by sierra »

Most impressive statistic I've heard in all my time in elma scene. Already it's a shame but many believe it's cheated. What u guys have to say?

Well, I can tell you this:

I was there. I saw it. This is what I feel: :? 8O 8) :D

I'm amazed that you can drive so many good times on so many different levels in such a short time. I'm so happy that you can actually be that good without cheating. And again, I'm very amazed by t0r's skills, he is incredibly good. I hope all who have doubts get to see him in real life some time, just come to Trondheim and I promise you he will convince you...

He was lucky in a few levs, like serpents (he said he had planned to drive it for 4 hours, but luckily he got a good run after just 15 minutes!!)

We all played on computers in a public computer room at the university in Trondheim. I didn't have time for a 24h tt, but I was there most of the time. t0r got below 38 minutes in just 16 hours and 27 minutes! I don't remember the exact times, but he did drive personal best in several levels (Lab pro, Bowling, ...), improving his normal total with more than 5 secs! 8O

I'm very happy having seen this, especially after what happened when dmd got caught (and I became suspicious about all good players)

Amazing stuff!!

Q:
Can he add the PBs he to his stats or does he need to drive them over again? Not that i doubt he could do that anyday, but it would be a shame to have to do the Pbs again.

I don't think this is cheat, but it's very good!!!
But i still think that zweq would do better if he prepared himself :)
The one i would trust most of those ppl is Jalli, as far as i know him he wouldn't ever cheat or lie.
If someone has höyled a level and become good at it he can do very good rides pretty often (eg. milagros do Turnoround pretty often?)
good players that know each level good can do this.

This is nice

24 hours on public university comps?
they didnt kick you out?

and elma runs veery different on different comps
those detail differences on the edges can make it tough
you really have to relearn some hard tricks

No, we didn't play on our own computers. Luckily one of the computer rooms here has very good comps for elma playing (Win2000, 1.4GHz AMD cpus and Geforce2 video cards), a lot of the tricks are possible and you can turn vsync on/off. TorInge just brought his own keyboard. Actually the keyboards arent that bad either (standard Keytronic keyboards). Jallis last wr on circ was driven on one of these computers :) (I watched him 8O )

They are not so good for Spiral, my best time on them is 44.92 (the bike feels a bit different, especially on the start)

The university is open (for people with access cards) 24 hours a day, so we weren't kicked out...
Actually if the security guard had checked us (which he can) he could have thrown out TorInge because he doesn't have that students' access card... However, I have only been checked once in over 3 years. Would have sucked if that had happend though :?

OMG it was a self-made expression he wrote.
------

It sickens me that people can't make astonishing achievements in the elma scene anymore, without people yelling 'cheater!' and what not. Give people the praise they deserve, unless you have some concrete proof. If you don't have any kind of proof at all, why even talk the slightest bit of it?
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
