I can download so I don't know where the problem is. I'm using Firefox. Though the download servers are rather slow. 19% finished.

Very cool movie. I especially liked the few slowdowns of really cool moves, I wish there were more slowdowns overally. Technically it was really enjoyable and soundtrack was also neat. ;)

I really wish there would be a video like this where the very best players and very best tricks there are, some insane moves and such.

To bad Elma is not smooth in videos, it would need so high frame rate.

I like simple zooms and slow downs for most. Using your video editing program's all effects isn't that much needed. Actually most of the special effects just annoyed me.

CMc seems to like pipes :].

Well I really enjoyed watching this. The special effects were cool, a nice blend with the music was made several times there. Ofcourse I found it nice to see one of my levels :P , and one thing I have to give credit for is the piece where you scroll back in the level, and the bike is a white flashy light. That was truly amazing shot to see.

Way to go, a very good elma replays movie.

tisjoris: what's that level of yours, SCup06?

abula: some effects might look bit annoying but without them a movie for a game like elma would be just boring to watch since it's not a 3D game and there arent that much of colours and ingame effects. in fact it's very hard to make a good movie from a simple game like this and not to make it monotomic.
and yeah, CMc is a one big Pipe Animal :P

wezz: heh, CMc foofed Wezz28 & Wezz59 like unbeatable i would say ! u have to watch the movie lol

insane guy: sorry im not really familiar with some of the levels, but what's the the name of that insane level that has been used in the contest?
and wow, how did you ripped a whole +3 secs from CMc on Kestas03 ? man, he did it nonstop and i thught that time kicked ass :x
can i see the replay please?

and thx everybody for a nice feedback  it took me a month to do it and lots of sweat... gah, i even had to bye and extra 500 RAM to add to my 128 in order to compile the whole project to a movie

Well done on the video Kestas. Very cool graphics too. And yes I really like pipes...those are pretty much the only levels I play at the moment. I'm not quit up to axxu or BoneLESS standards, but hopefully will be some day.

Strong 9/10. Lots of nice video effects experiments (except hackneyed Matrix part :?). Sometimes I had feelings, that I watching demoscene production. In few moments, animation is finely harmonize with sound. Only lack some kind of humorous element, which occur for example in BarTek or MUe movies, but maybe it wasn't director aim.

+ for
...it's a freakin elmavideo! =P
...nice effects, some were very nice, the glowing flower caught my eye, and also the kinda earthquake thingie at 47 and 54 sec, and slowmotion-parts too.
...very nice idea with merged recs in the video
...good length, it wasn't over before it had even started and it wasn't too long either
...coal music

- for
...the effects, (both + and - as u see) in my opinion maby too many different/too often
...there was gamesound at a few places at same time as there was music,

Overall: 8.5/10 =)

I was thinking about this moviemaking, it would be really nice if a program was created which can save every frame in a replay as a single bmp/jpg file, then it's possible to create elmavideos just like CS videos. For that you need only one program apart from Half Life and CS itself and that is Videomach which puts all the pictures together into a movie. The program is very easy to use and has few effects which you can apply to your movie. Of course there's also a possibility to add music there. Synchronize the video with the music isn't possible though as far as I know. But for those who think Videomach-effects aren't enough there is other programs such as Sony Vegas (I think it was called).
Could be really nice if people put effort and made more of these videos.

Btw is this maybe my longest post ever? =D

I totally agree John. It would be cool if Moposite started some kind of video contest that players and...better yet...maybe different teams put together some bad ass replays and made an Elma video. Then players could rate them and vote on the best ones.

was Matrix idea really that bad? :X
and i think humorous elements in a serious movie like this would just make it all worse...
btw, is there a chance Abula would place a link to this video on Media section at moposite.com ?

p.s. that ingame sound was made in purpose to highlight the Camera Recorder effect.

its funny how everyone is so impatient, replying to the topic before they have finished downloading saying omg so slow....

pretty nice movie....

some of the effects were quite nice:
-bike glowing and blurring effects
-matrix was a cool idea but unfortunately hurt eyes
-flower glowing
-some of the slow motion

bad effects:
-omg stop the wave effect.....it distorts the level too badly, and hurts the eyes. The only real disapointment with the video. :?

woulda been a nice idea to collect a few more exceptional replays. but i understand this is the first video and you wanted to show your times on those contest levels.

some sick internal recs and wcap or other cup winning or sick style recs using those effects would be a really cool video. 8)

Wwwaayyyy too many effects. Effects are best when used on the most amazing places. Now it's good to see 5secs of the film uneffected! It was even hard to see any nice tricks since the effects distorted everything and the effects caught your attention.
And even if you do use effects, don't twist the knobs to teh max so the effects dominate the picture.

Otherwise, good job.

Amazing Idea!

Very nice video i think, and I'll agree with ciph, i thought most effects were brill except the wave part. Especially when the effects were in sync with the video.
