How do you introduce this game to your friends?

Post by benson »

i found it quite difficult to ask others to play... how can we attract them to play?

if I say it is very interesting and addictive, people may be annoyed...
but if not, they won't know how interesting it is.

also, when people ask me what this game is about, I just can't describe the game in a simple way... but this game is really simple! I often need to explain further about the structure of the game.

And... this game needs a lot of effort, others may not have time or may not spend so much time on it.

I really want this game to spread in Hong Kong... but... nearly noone is interested in it.
Hoping Elma can spread in Hong Kong... but... nearly impossible

Describe the game in a humorous way, then let them test it. You don't find it ridiculous after you played it. They will like it or not.

Just ask them, wether they can complete level 1 or not. When they're done with it, you can say there's another level, but some will go away. The ones that remain can play more levels.

You can show those that have played some more levels a replay. They get shocked, and either want to play the game to get better, or quit it.
In this way you can get it spreaded a little.

Heeh, I coaxed like 9 of my friends to play (including Ruvio but I think he quit and is still a major noob  )

Like 3 of them beat the game and one other (Stubbs) plays externals and trust me, would end up better than me if he played lots, but he has a life unfortunately

Thanks for all your opinions. When my friends visit me, I will show others replays and let them try. But it is quite rare that my friends visit me, therefore I can only describe it or give them some snapshots.

Will "Movie: Elma - External Ways" be useful?

Any examples? I am weak at that...

Nice suggestion... but it is not allowed to play computer games at school.

Yes, Hong Kong is in China. It will be really fantastic if lots of Chinese join!
