Relax, internalists were picked randomly, 'cause everyone knows who'll win anyway.

The date of the final show has been decided:

Sunday January 13th, 20:00 EET

Place: #gaa @ IRCnet
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

He enjoy doing what he does. What could be of us without some berh?. I can not imagine it. Always will be there some "berh" around that fuck up the scene.

Why you guys always think that someone wants attention cheating, hacking belma server, changing nick for another, posting like a fucking AKB- ehm like fucking idiot in Lauta? Ok, its possible, but not in 100% of cases.
berh should win battler

Definitively you are wrong. Akb is one of the most mongo players nowadays. Posting shit all the day that nobody cares. Spamming, mongoin, braggin. Thinking being funny, he is not.
AT LEAST, he showed his skills in the last cups, but it is insufficient compared to his mongoism.
Maybe jt can explain it better with his english skillz.

True.

anyway..

I think mister zyntifox was forgotten by everyone, including me. If we check all those who hadn't had a wr for close to 100 tables, like none of them ever made a comeback in wr business and actually most of them quitted the whole game. in fact I got interested in significant wr table comebacks.

wr owners:

1. Karlis WR(s) on 249 table(s) (#001-#012,#015-#082,#088-#150,#153-#258)
2. mr WR(s) on 196 table(s) (#004-#034,#074-#087,#109-#230,#243-#249,#257-#278)
2. TorInge WR(s) on 196 table(s) (#083-#278)
4. zyntifox WR(s) on 192 table(s) (#004-#076,#083-#102,#109-#181,#183,#184,#255-#278)
5. Zweq WR(s) on 170 table(s) (#109-#278)
6. psy WR(s) on 157 table(s) (#001-#007,#020-#085,#114-#197)
7. Jokke WR(s) on 152 table(s) (#001-#139,#142-#154)
8. Cloud WR(s) on 132 table(s) (#084,#085,#090-#178,#180-#220)
9. Jalli WR(s) on 119 table(s) (#120-#137,#144-#146,#179-#276)
10. deadnite WR(s) on 118 table(s) (#111-#228)
11. Stini WR(s) on 111 table(s) (#168-#278)
12. Bokhylle WR(s) on 105 table(s) (#137,#175-#278)
12. Jeppe WR(s) on 105 table(s) (#010,#011,#014-#020,#022-#037,#041-#120)
14. Luther WR(s) on 104 table(s) (#145-#248)
15. oizo! WR(s) on 100 table(s) (#009-#041,#048-#058,#075,#093,#094,#104-#139,#162-#178)
16. TomCat WR(s) on 98 table(s) (#079,#080,#082,#083,#103-#119,#121-#197)
17. Phillip WR(s) on 95 table(s) (#184-#278)
18. mengerle WR(s) on 94 table(s) (#004,#005,#007,#008,#017-#106)
19. John WR(s) on 93 table(s) #139,#178, #188-#278) (actually john was playing all the time but not for wrs)
20. pajen WR(s) on 92 table(s) (#020,#045-#135)
.
.
23. Markku WR(s) on 80 table(s) (#001-#010,#017-#069,#130-#146)
.
.
25. ramone WR(s) on 76 table(s) (#003-#011,#018-#020,#127-#129,#165-#188,#222-#228,#249-#278)
.
.
42. milagros WR(s) on 55 table(s) (#177-#222,#246-#249,#274-#278)
43. MadMan WR(s) on 53 table(s) (#067-#073,#077-#110,#138-#146,#194-#196)
.
.
45. KD WR(s) on 51 table(s) (#085-#115,#121-#135,#138-#140,#198-#199)

and there are more, less familiar nicks from the early tables. It seems to me that zyntifox has broken some kind of a record in number of tables not having a wr. Although I know few names who could break it easily one week from now on :P. Ramones list is pretty impressive, true elma legend who will never quit.

zamppe's respectful handshake award goes to zyntifox o/ gz

Some stats:

Most votes for one candidate went to milagros for Contribution, he got 7 votes which was the highest amount possible with one jury member missing. Zweq got 6 votes in Battler, also being the highest amount possible since two jury members were missing.
Least amount of votes for a winning candidate went to Jappe2 for Designer and talli for Replay: These got 2 votes (which is the lowest amount possible to be able to win; the win was decided by the amount of community points).
Most 5-pointers from the community in the Third Step went to milagros for Contribution, with 27 5-pointers (which is a new record).
Most votes for one candidate from the community in the Third Step went to both Zweq for Internalist and milagros for Contribution, with votes from 34 people (which are all who voted in Internalist and Contribution).
milagros's 158 points from the community in Contribution is a new record, noone has ever receieved that many points in the Third Step.
axxu won the Externalist award for the 4th year in a row.
WNO won the Team award for the second year in a row.
Zweq won 5 GAAs this year (6 if counting Team), which is more than anyone has gotten in previous GAAs (noone had won more than 3 before).
For the first time in GAA history, the winner of WR was not driven on Apple Harvest and the winner of Replay was not driven on a pipe level.

Speeches:

Start speech:

[19:00:43] <SveinR> 20:00 EET Greetings, welcome to the 5th annual Golden Apple Awards!
[19:00:55] <SveinR> This channel is +m so only operators and voiced people will be able to talk, use #across for free talk. Stupid nick changes will result in a ban.
[19:01:04] <SveinR> The are 15 categories and five candidates in each category. The candidates have been chosen by the jury and the community, click here for more info: http://www.moposite.com/mopolauta/viewt ... 086#141086
[19:01:37] <SveinR> well, except the 15th category so that really only applies to the 14 first :x
[19:01:51] <SveinR> The jury consists of six members: axxu, skint0r, SveinR, tijsjoris, zebra and zworqy
[19:01:56] <SveinR> The winners are determined by community votes and jury votes. In the event of a tie, community votes matters.
[19:02:03] <SveinR> If I get disconnected and won't come back for an hour, the show will be postponed to the same time tomorrow.
[19:03:17] <SveinR> Two members of the jury haven't shown up yet, so I say we'll wait a few more minutes before we get going

15. Community Award, milagros

[20:39:28] <SveinR> The winner has changed the way people play elma, and people feel that it's due to him that the scene is alive. In January 2007, the first version of belma was released. In the coming months it was developed more and more, and today it's probably the main focus of most people who play elastomania.
[20:39:37] <SveinR> People who voted for the winner has also given him the award based on other things, for instance that he is considered as a very nice guy who's always willing to help others. People have also mentioned his playing abilities, like his WR on Long Haul, his style-inventing, and his work as an anti-cheater.
[20:39:47] <SveinR> But the main reason behind his getting this award, is the remarkable dedication he has shown to the scene and to the game by creating belma; improving the elastomania and battling experience for so many players.
[20:40:13] <SveinR> milagros!

[20:40:27] <teh_mila> wow!
[20:40:47] <teh_mila> wr was so aazing
[20:40:56] <teh_mila> that really deserved teh
[20:41:04] <teh_mila> and belma was quite fun to do too

[20:41:27] <teh_mila> thanks
[20:41:41] <teh_mila> now gimme trh apple
[20:41:49] <teh_mila> e
[20:42:00] <teh_mila> culinko is in love with me
[20:42:21] <teh_mila> what else to say

End speech:

[20:43:14] <SveinR> And with that, the Golden Apple Awards 2007 has come to an end!
[20:43:46] <zebraTAP> at last!
[20:43:53] <SveinR> We hope to see you all again in about a year, have a nice Elasto Mania experience in 2008 :)
[20:43:57] <axxu> World peace and french kisses to everyone :*~~

When you don't get Trophy, you sorta lose all love for the awards.

And if Jappe2 wins designer, was quite unexpected, but I guess deserved nonetheless.

lolz at goin emo about bad speech, you know I barely felt anything for gaa this year and almost wanted to skip being in the channel, because the moment when it's time to write something, is fucking shitty. + I kinda shoved the whole thing up my ass since jury didnt accept the endless hours I wasted to find 7-8 sec cut on apple harvest, while some 5 year old, slower style seemed to be better

so so

and now you wonder what the fuck am I whining after winning style category anyway +4 others. well keep wondering, you fucking nobos wont get it anyway.

That indeed was the painful moment of the GAA, I think we can all agree with that. The jury can be human at times. :(

Seriously, I feel sorry about that happening.

I'm sorry you feel that way Zweq. But it wasn't forgotten by the jury, it actually was one of the first styles to be nominated. I thought you had talked it over with axxu about why it was removed and left that behind you :/

The top5 is chosen absolutely according to the community's votes.

Might want some more info on this, caus you got a handful of donations over the past year and there hasn't been made any prizes for last years winners (and I'm not just writing this because I won, I donated some time ago aswell hoping for winners to get trophies) So is it because you need like shitloads of more money for there to be something left for gaa after serverbills ect. or is this line just a pr stunt and there will never be any prizes or is it just normal lazyness?

Anyway great show <3

To tell you the truth I don't really know, as it was mainly Abula who handled the trophies in GAA04 and I don't really have any info on donations either. And unless specifically stated when you donate that it should go to GAA, it will probably go to server costs and such instead.
