eh, what kind of notification? Do you want to give us your phone number so we can call you when deadline is near?

I think that you should be able to remember the deadline yourself. You are a good player and designer and everything.

hehe it was ramone originally who made the results... but you sent in so why not to put you in results?

The formula, or the function which gave the points, can be found from the banana cup site (check the news).

Code: Select all

String calculateRecPoints(String filename) {

	if ( !stream ) return "0";
	char* buffer = new char[32];
	double points = 10;

what i mean is that something like:
make a pair number of brake gives 5 pts
the most ammount of volt gives the most points
catch apple with head gives 5 pts
all stuff like that

as i said, the formula is a bit random in a sense that it just reads some bytes from rec file. But of course it gives the same amount of points to a given rec in each time the program is run, so there isn't that kind of randomness :)

what the program does is that it reads 30 bytes, takes the first 4 of them, if the integer made of those bytes is between 91 and 97, it reduces points and if it's 99, it adds some points. Then it continues with the next 30 bytes. In the end the maximum number of points is limited to 150.

Well, unless you can compute in your head the encryption of a replay file as you drive in a level, no you can't drive that replay voluntarily.

Well, staying in one place seems to give you the maximum points but if you have to finish the lev, i would say the maximum points are very hard if not impossible to get. I haven't made any research and don't know the rec format byte by byte so hard to say.

One question: Just to be sure there is no misunderstanding, i can do a trick more than once and get points for every occurence of the trick right? (meaning if i do 6 brutal volts, i should get 6 * 3 points)

yep, but you have to do all those brutals in different place. I mean that you can only one brutal in one platform.

and thanks for support :) I hope ppl will keep on playing this. There are many players who have played only 1 or 2 events. I hope they will come back too :)

Yes, it will be counted. Just read the rules. The rules are like in ordinary first finish battle in belma.

Someone asked for an image of the level so here it is:

Once you know the right styles the level is actually pretty easy to finish. It needs a lot of practise though.

I would love to here now what was good and what was bad in this cup. Which was the best event?
We'll listen to your suggestions now and if there's gonna be another banana cup some day, we'll do the exact opposite.
