13.97 on Hooked? New WR?

Post by Dyrox »

My friends sais that his friend has got a new WR on Hooked. I think it was 13.97 or something like that... That must be a bugtime or is it possible to run that fast? He sais that it's not a bugtime...

I don't think it is a wr, it's just a bug time.

monkeii has made a hooked bug time top-10: http://www.geocities.com/hategreen/tables

i think it would be cool in a way if that kind of bugs (picking apples with 2 tires) would be accepted, because it would really drop tt and make for extremely cool new styles, but would still not be too easy (it's really hard) to do.

e.g twin peaks driving straight to flower without having to fetch the left apple, hi flyer without start bounce loop etc. really cool imo.

imagine apple harvest...

It would only be about luck...But maybe you weren't serious.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

sveinr some might think that e.g the bounce in islands in the sky is luck, but it isn't. also getting the bike to perfect angle to pick the apples might be considered luck but mayhaps it is possible to learn and to become a pro in it. (i think a reason it is so rare is that 1) you notice the bug in very few levels by chance 2) you don't try to do it )

omg i don't mean u should accept bug bounces, but picking apples with 2 tires is not really a bug bug, as in rarely happening thing u can't predict or do on purpose (like the bug bounce in ur hill legend)

Send the state to Abula, he'll fix it for you.

It's a bug. Read readme.txt of Elma:
- GOOD object: You have to touch all of these before you can accomplish a level.

yes i know it is a bug, but it is a bug that does not happen by somewhat random chance, but rather by always same rules. that i think is the difference between bug bounces and bug double picking of apples, and thus being the reason why i think double pickings should be allowed but not bug bounces.

what about alovolt. balazs rozsa surely didn't make it thinking it was possible for someone to flip it like that. maybe just didn't make it impossible being lazy and making code simpler. but since it is possible people use it and even made a patch to make it simpler. so alovolt could very well be considered as a bug in the code.

what makes alovolting so different from this? it doesn't break the "rules" stated in readme. period.

I drove a bugtime on Flag track (level 6 of the hoyla mission) today. 8) Wasn't faster than my best time though. I flew over the last apple and still finished it. Took the apple on the Swiss Flag with both wheels at the same time.
