i notice that i am much better at getting girls when i am drunk. be it that i have more confidence and yeah act more macho, my girlfriend now says she appreciates the nice side of me now that we're together, but i think initially they are looking for macho-ness and even some sort of leadership qualities over the other guys around you, they take notice of that.
after experimenting a bit i'd say a big role is played by how the level of energy matches between the 2 people. when the right one was around i felt it immediately. she is much more attractive than i am but i just acted natural around her, i wasn't nervous which surprised me and now we are together for 2 weeks.
