Kuski of September 2003

Post by MagnusB »

Suggest questions and candidates.

TomCat: TomCat belongs to the mighty 39mins club, and he's the best Hungarian player (with 23 HRs). He finished 12th in WCup4, also there he was by far the best Hungarian. He's doing well in the Mopobattles, in 8th place with 19 battles played, 1 event victory, and 24.47 average. He also plays well in regular battles.
And he's simply an overall very skilled player.

Markku: Markku is hands down one of the most skilled players ever. He's insane at battles (especially regular battles in #battle), and some of the recs he produces in just 20 minutes are simply stunning. He has had plenty of WRs in the past (he had 4 on Table #1), and currently has one WR, on Pipe. His TT is ~40:30 (possibly better now), and he came in 10th in WCup3 (he also had one level in the cup). He's also an excellent piper, right up there with Jalli, psy and Z1. He has many other achievements under his belt, including his amazing NoRotate recs.
When Markku first rose to success, he came out of nowhere went straight to the absolute top. As most of you will know, he was away from the scene for a long time, and when he made his comeback he virtually "exploded" onto the scene again. It's not without reason that he's had the phrase "doing the Markku" (read here) named after him.

Juish: Juish is one of those guys (such as John, Stini, etc.) who came from nowhere and improved their totals madly in very short time. Currently his TT is somewhere between 41:00 and 41:10. Juish is not only an internal höyla, but a generally very skilled player. He's come very close to winning a few mopobattles (for example he WOULD've won Ba056 if it wasn't for his horrible end). Juish makes some levels, for instance the Juint (Juish Internals) levels and a good deal of battle levels.

2fast: 2fast must be some kind of level making machine. As of writing this he has made 210 battle levels, two levels packs and several other levels too. All this in just 2-3 (maybe 4) months. I don't see how he can possibly have left his computer for a second during those months. He's not a bad player either; his TT is around 47:30, which is quite impressive considering how fresh he is to the game.

Juble: Juble is one of the best level designers around these days. He has won three consecutive LOMs already this year (March through May), and maybe there's more to come. He's good at making both thematic levels and more höylish levels. Common for all his levs is that they're very entertaining, and never dull.

Did I forget anything worthy of mention about one of the candidates? Tell me here.

Edit: Fixed some stuff about TomCat
Edit2: There's a 'c' in 'excellent'

I think it's not such a suprise markku hasn't won it before, at the beginning of the poll there were nothing but roxxor guys nominated. NOW it would be a suprise if he didn't win.

i hang around at #battle quite often and i've seen many many players playing there and markku pretty much beats them all. :) maybe only mp, dz and some omg-lucky-bounce kuskis stand a chance against him. definitely one of the most skilled players ever. and i think most ppl who have ever played against him would agree with me on this.

ok this might sound like worshipping, but he really is that good.. just look at his replays 8O

aside from his elma skills, he is a really nice guy and just made an impressive comeback to the scene a short while ago.

ez vote for markku

Ok this one should definitely go to Markku, just think about it.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Omg, I can't believe how this one can not go to Markku, TomCat is a very good second choice, but Markku is THE kuski. Extreme skills, and if he had höyled as much as a player like Karlis, I don't think that Zweq or Darm would have the recond for most wrs in one table...

When he first plays something, he gets TOP, and I can't believe how come he hasn't won b4.... Imho, he is maybe the most skilled kuski there is 8)
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

Yes.

Sorry about the comments about Markku being so much longer than the others, I actually shortened them down quite a bit, but it was just so easy to write about him and so much that had to be said.

And yes, I voted for Markku.

Ye, or höyl as much as you hehe. Anyway I think it's different stuff in doing good in battles and then compare how good long term höyler u are. Like I can beat zweq and darmoed in some battles but never could make as much WRs.
And when u say it's a suprise he hasn't won it before, do you mean the recent months or in the past? I'm not if he even was still active when the poll started. At least the biggest höyläs were guys like zyntifox, karlis (of course), dz and umm..some others.
But like almost everyone of u have said markku is besterest in this poll, tomcat is also very good. I voted Juble because want him to be second :)

I happened to vote for 2fast for the reasons I stated earlier. Though Markku is not a worse choice either. I'm propably just jealousy to him beating me so many times at #battles :P
