i would like to talk about most common thing, nothing;
what is nothing ?
i asked my friend whats going on, and he said nothing;
he left me totally wondering; nothing ?
is it some kind of a state of emptyness, total zero of everything ?

NOTHING =
1 nothing
2 not anything
3 no amount
4 non-existence
5 trifling thing, event, remark or person
6 unimportant

thats the first time i opened a dictionary for years
so when some one says nothing when you ask them whats up.
it doesnt really make sense according to the dictionary

there are of course many meanings of a word, even the word "nothing". i have made up this stupid saying: "nothing is the mushroom not growing on your head". It works fine with my explanation of nothing, which is quite mathematical: it's the same as what 0 represents. But: 0 means something that doesn't exist, so to have something represent it would be to make it exist, right? It seems to me that the mathematical nothing is the lack of something: i have two apples, i give them away - now i have 0 apples. i have 0 bananas too, and 0 of quadrillions of other things, but that doesn't really matter. altho the 0 apples matter, since i did have apples before, and the 0 shows a difference which has to do with the situation. so actually 0 doesn't mean nothing, u use it to represent something that did exist within a situation, and then was gone. so maybe, dz, when your friend said nothing was going on, he meant that something had been going on, or was going to happen, but in the moment those things were not active in the presence.

u should write a dictoinary

it can leave us a problem that our brain cannot fathom.

what would there be if there was nothing, some people say just white space but even then there is somthing. the bit that can confuse the brain is when u really think about it instead of just saying there wont b anything. this can lead u to all types of questions about why there is life and how we get life, but thats a whole nother issue???

well nothingness is quite good a concept to philosophize about, isnt it?

1.
- does God exist? does nothing exist? if nothing is what not exists, then is there anything as such? what about unexplicable things?

2.
- I was thinking about buddhism. Once I read about to renounce even the antidote. The example was about to go hunting in the forest because it works as an antidote to stress. So in buddhist conceptualization you don't only forget about your pains, but also about the solution to your pains. Furthermore, taking this one more step, you have to remove the removal of the antidote. It is kind of like trying to empty a milk carton. Try a thousand times and there are still drops left. Ultimately where does this lead? Nowhere. That is buddhism for you.

3.
- The esoteric concept of nothingness is that nothingness is where everything comes from. A big unexplicable nothingness. Setting aside all our naive thought patterns and reality interpretations, we can open up to the present moment of loads of information penetrating the universe. Not to get stuck in anything, we remain empty. Sounds pretty much like buddhism.

Let's talk about Delite Rice Snacks; the best dang snacks on the planet.

I love the chives flavour and the sweet chili flavour. I always dip them in philidelphia cream cheese for extra awesome.

if you were 5km tall and talking on your phone and you dropped it, how much time would you have to catch it before it hit the ground?
quite interesting though, the phone will still drop at the same rate as anything else, leaving alot of time to catch it.
but would you be able to move your hand fast enough to catch up with it or will there be too much friction from the air?
could be quite fun to be a giant, but i guess everything will take ages to do because of friction. simply taking 1 step could take 30 seconds or more.
discuss this please...

Imo being a giant means having the strength and the general capacity of moving faster, but not faster proportionally. I mean, if you are 5 km tall, then you should be able to jump 2-3 km high easily, and you should be able to move your hands at awesome speeds like 1500 km/h. But proportionally, that's not a feat.

But if you think about it, for ants, falling from 5 m is crazy: it takes one second, and they fall about 2000 times their height.

If your height grows linearly, your volume and therefore mass and inertia will grow in the power of three. This is why animals systematically can make the more stuff proportional to their lenght the smaller they are. Btw for example Guiness book of records makers seem not to get this (there's always hype from some ants that can jump some 200 times their length and how human should jump some 400m to be as good etc...). Also therefore a drop from some 5 meters is a piece of cake for any ant (partly because recistance of air slows them down significatly too).

Anyway if we are talking about a 5km-tall creature it would propably crash under its own mass. Even if it wouldn't, no way it could stand some 2-3km jump - if I remember correct I read that even a full-grown elephant can't fall from some 50cm without breaking its bones (again a consecuence from the nature law previously mentioned), so no chance for such giant.

But maybe in gravityless space it might be able to catch a 200km/h moving phone (the speed that a phone will go max if dropped down in Earth's athmosphere). It would still have shitloads of inertia and need enormous powers to get enough acceleration for its hands and maybe those energies will tear it into pieces. :S

I want to discuss about bananas. How you eat them, you have good recipes with bananas? Something special to say about the fruit? Ok, I start.

Bananas are nice. Here's how I eat them usually, and the rating on 10 on how is it, considering the simplicity, the taste and an overall feeling:

1. Plain. Bam. Eat banana. 7/10

2. Sliced, on a toast, with peanut butter. Easy and sweet. 7/10

3. When the bananas are almost black and rotting, they can go into super-awesome giga-muffins. The muffins are big, yet not completely cooked. This means the interior, the very center of the muffin, is still "soft", anyway, not yet cooked. 9/10

4. If you are impatient and don't want to wait for your banana to be rotting, take it when it's starting to be around 50-50 yellow/brown. Using soya milk and tofu (almond flavored is the best, it has to be silken too), and maple syrup, you can blend this all like mongo and enjoy. 10/10. This is AWESOME. I mean it.
