i'm using normal view

imo it's better cause you can see more of where you're driving at, no need to see much of where you came from

I TOTALLY agree with rez. I've played it 95% of the time with centered, and it's better. You get dizzed by leftrightleftright

When you know a lvl you can use centered view because then you dont have to see whats sao far inf front of you, but normal view helps me know which way im heading, because i dont look at the bike i look at the vertexes thats coming up. And once when i tried center view i often turned everal times before getting that i had turned :P

centered view makes for smoother riding. personally i use center and 1024x768 with 1.6 zoom to make everything same size as normal elma, just higher graphic quality. the fact that you see a little less doesn't bother me at all, just check the map if you're playing a new level.

I use centred, I hate the screen switching. I think I have it on 800 x 600, looks good

anything over 640*480 reduces Hz to teh maximus and decreases fps and smoothness performance like hell

I do 640*480, centered view (and no time option in gameplay): 760fps

I would like to be able to do that too. I just can't see enough with centered view if i have 640*480. I can see it isn't a problem when hoyling ie internals which you know, but it irritates the hell out of me when playing battles or just levs that i don't know 100%.
I would just do the oldschool 640*480 without centered view, but thats just not posible with a (/my) flatscreen. So now i have 800*600 centered view, with 666fps which is ok.

I don't use 1.2, I don't even have it on the computer anywhere. Just default elma view =)
