Kuski of September 2002

Post by Abula »

Ding dong. Soon it's time to release the interviews but September's poll is about to begin now. The poll ends on 15th October 2002.

PeXi: Was (and is) one the most important players in past that Across/Elma came so popular. He made the first version of Moposite (not named Moposite back then though) four years ago. He invented total time concept, arranges World Cups (the famoust contest, gathering hundreds of players around the world), made the first Stuff and Contests sections. Founded also the irc channel of Elma scene, #across. He made co-operating with Csabalázs to improve the scene. Nowadays he updates the official Elma WR table (and some other pages too). He had WRs in Across (Slippery Slope, Precarious, Bounce Back, New Wave, even Warm Up) and top20 total. Team FIN is still active which must be the oldest team out there.

Jokke: Well, well. Just a normal newbie, ok. Seriously he started playing before we other fellows had even born. He has been playing all these years without breaks (or yes, his army took 6 months, but he took a few WRs in that period anyway). He has had more WRs than anyone else which could make him the best internalist ever. He has always been in top20 total times. Check his positions in every World Cup. Final standings: Wcup1: 2nd, Wcup2k: 9th, Wcup3: 4th and in Wcup4 he's 4th currently. Also Jokke started to update Moposite's replay section which means he won't stop his career soon :-). He helps the scene, let's thank him.

MP: He claims he doesn't like to play internal levels, ye sure, check his total time, world 13th best or something. He has the best total time of those who haven't ever had a WR. MP is doing pretty well in Wcup4 but unfortunately he will be behind me in the final standings. MP is newbie and therefore not that long elma history. Besides playing he is making own Elma site and Elma levels. Just published ALP level pack has been a success. MP is good in battles eventhough hasn't participated to many of them (at least not to Mopobattles).

RoniMox: A newbie were requested to the poll so here we go. She is a girl, 13 years, and playing Elma. Making levels, updating Elma site and ircing. Not so normal in Elma scene I would say.

Quido: A new (hm, mrickx told me in our car trip from FEM to Oulu that he is an old veteran who started to play again) player from Czech Republic. He has made many WRs and great total time after started to hoyl seriously. I apologize that I don't know much about this guy but he must have been an important player in Czech Elma history. mrickx, tell us more about him, thanks.

why is pexi in the voteable four every month? shouldn't the "kuski of *insert month*" be about things done that month (or the previous)and not

Antz, it's been like that pritty long time already.
You can't take this kuski of month vote seriously, at least yet.
I really hope abula will get it under control some day, because the idea of "kuski of the month", is very good

I think this system if fine, pexi or jokke really deserves some credit.
What should this be called, "Monthly voted best kuski" ?

Antz: last month's second gets automatically to the next round. And if Jokke or PeXi for example did lots of good things in the past it doesn't mean they wouldn't do them still. Arranging WCup or participating to it with good success aren't enough?

In this concept that dz is wondering people who have most friends would win. Also only the best hoylas could win. And I myself can't know every months the top5 (or 10?) hottest candidates to the poll.

why is that?

i'm still thinking kuski of month should be of things done _that_ month. why not make "kuski of the year", or "honorary kuski reward for lifelong achievements and/or helpping in creating the elma scene"? (every year/2nd year?) that could b shown in the avatar slot like kuski and brutalist and all those other ranks.

Actually there was kuski of year poll.

And now I stop this discussion. Make your own polls to your own site and make the rules like you want. This is Moposite's version and I've find out (so far) it as the best. Thank you.

I never got so much attention here and I'm player of the same level as her.

this threatning of banning whenever u do this or that puts a real damper in everything. that quoting box thing looked nice and was made as a joke, but then abula comes, doesn't like it, and stops it by intimidating everyone. now u say, "it's abula's lauta" and that's true, but must abula use his rights and powers to satisfy his own needs and wanting for "a good post" at the cost of others? (and then u may say "think of all moposite has given us" or smthin. doing good things doesn't give a buffer for doing bad things.)
