What does the parent/s think [care]

Post by devin »

hmm... I have always wondered what your parents think when they see you on the computer playing sum stupid motorcycle game, leave come back 5(not that long of course) hours later and see you playing the same motorcycle game, or when they tell you to do some thing and your most common response is "in a minute" and you end up forgetting.

Or do they get pissed cuz you wont answer the phone cuz you drivin good?

So what do your parents think about your elma career, do they know about wcup and shit and how you dont play for fun(its fun, but thats not why people play)

curious.>.>

mrickx, mr and Tapzu visit me so I guess I had to tell to mom a bit. Anyway my mom knew long before that. She doesn't comment on my playing anymore or maybe something to her friends. She knows I'm doing Moposite and even showed the URL in her working place (hospital) to work friends, hm strange.

Maybe at 3:00 o'clock when she's taking a pee she might come to tell me "Give up, you won't get the record this night, go to sleep instead of." But you know I just can't give up because the time comes in next try.

Everyone in my family knows I play, my brother has joined in too actually, he has a total time of 8 hours :D cos me and james (mopojames on 'lauta) have knocked him off most of the top tens.
He's nearly finished all of the levels...only 3 left i think. I'll send his tt in sometime :D :D :D

my dad doesn't really understand the purpose, hes sat down and watched me for like five minutes and now every time he sees me playing the most common remark is "Dont hit your head!!" "Ouch you hit your head"

basically he has no idea that times is what i play for, i try not to get him involved, he doesnt know i made a website, he doesnt know anything about wcup or Nothing. To him its just a motorcycle game, of course as you may of heard me say before, we own a motorcycle shop and he thinks its acceptable to be doing something involving bikes.

also my dad prolly wonders why i am slower on the race track

to much damn elma cuts down on valuable riding time.

(i am not any slower, if anything i am a lot faster since when i started elma, not because of elma mind you)

My dad catch me playing many times, because i play elma in a computer near his own. He allways tell "What a stupid game!!" and "What's the fun of that game???". I guess he can't understand why i play it 8)

My mother saw me 3 or 4 times and she thinks that elma is about bicicles and not motorbikes :P

My brothers also play but don't care much and they don't even have any rec on my elma.

My former roomate liked me playing elma. He really enjoyed watching me participate in mopobattles, in fact he was almost more excited than me :)

His girlfriend though didn't really understand the purpose of the game. When she first saw me playing it I was using Olliz' Bugman lgr, or whatever it's called, and ever since she's calling elma "the monkeygame", cuz the kuski looks kinda like monkey. :)

About my parents, I'm not living at home anymore, so they haven't really seen me playing it.

I live alone, so my parents don't really care ... basically the only thing my mom knows about my accomblishments in elma is what i've told her of coz, but she forgets that 2 minuts later ... so now she found a method to remember, she smacks me in the paper  8)

My parent's don't much complain my playing elma. sure they have seen me play, but they dislike diablo II more and are quite pleased that there is no killing in this game. gladly i have my computer in my own room and they're at work most of the day so they don't know just how much i play (not only elma, but everything).

Mum's usual sarcastic comment is, "ooh. That's really relistic. Big spinning apples." Dad's usual sarcastic comment is, "oh, you're reaaly good at this." cuz whenever he's watching its when im trying some really difficult shortcut. Sister's usual sarcastic comment is, "i suppose I can see why you like that game so much. Yeah. It's really good. That's it." Cat's usual sarcastic comment is, "meow." Dog's usual sarcastic comment is, "Oh, for God's sake, you're doing it all wrong!" As you can tell, I have a very sarcastic family.

Elma and GameCube in my room, im torn between them...
I live with my mum (English word for mom :D) and I dont think my dad knows anything about it. One of my brothers knows I have an elma website, but he lives miles away...umm...oh yeah, my other brother (who lives here...the 8h tt one) is disgusted that there are elma slang words :D He thinks its sad that people use them and refuses to accept he's a 'kuski'
Ive just found out that i play even worse than normal when my cat isnt stting on the sofa next to me...looks like I have a 'lucky charm'
PS. Sorry to hear about your dad BarTek

My mum doesn't really care. whenever my dad see's me playing he usually tries to tell me what to do, and tha fastest way of doing a level even though he has no idea at all. Some times if my dad sees me making a level he'll come up with some crazy apple placing or impossible idea but i usually ignore him.

My mum and dad know that I play A LOT elma. Mum is always complaining and saying stuff like "U gotta do your homework...", "Not that same game again...". Just a minute ago she told me to take a break coz I hoyled like hell for hours. My sister doesn't complain to me and I even tried to make her play elma. She completed the first three internals, but she wasn't very interested.

I would like to talk about giving Ribot some kind of treatment but that would be totally off-topic, so:

Loads of ppl at school have downloaded the shareware Elma and don't understand it at all. The only reason they play it really is to try and go upside down and things and a load of ppl will be crowding around going, "Ooooh! Woww!" and stuff.

That happened to me once at school :o . I played Elma and "the crowd" was just amazed like: WOW! that's impossible! OMG! No way.... Nowadays they say Elma sucks... So I've kicked their nuts off

hmmm... that was kind of off topic so I won't do it again......

Kick their nuts off eh?
Most people at my school either play, or dont really take an interest in Elma. All of the British MopokuskiS so far are from my school. We used to think Elma was really hard and personally I was stuck on Over and Under for quite a while...this was when we first found the shareware version, everyone loved it, but less and less people play it now...
