Re: eol release
good work mila! i am terrible at setting this stuff up. Would be nice if someone made a youtube vid on how to get it working. Xiphias, you'll have two men dressed in black knocking on your door today to "ask" you for your wr.

Re: eol release
Since John didn't play belma (except for battling JoPis), then maybe he wouldn't share WR recs because he doesn't give a fuck about EOL?
Re: eol release
i bet mila has all John's recs already.
Re: eol release
Okay... I already sent all of my WRs.

Re: eol release
I think that's more than fair. How much do you got so far?
Re: eol release
Fair? Why would it be? Mila simply created an unrelated contingency. Orthogonal matters are thus finding themselves linked.
I personally don't care if EOL is ever released. I'm not tied to the community, and find most battled levels uninteresting. Discussions, either on mopolauta or on belma, are for the most part unattractive to me either.
EDQ, on the other hand, is a favorite of mine. Imagining how has been accomplished such amazing WR drops is an hobby of mine.
At this point, you might be asking yourself the point of this post. There is none.

1. "will patch for wr recs \o/" is his sig
2. i don't care for eol nor belma (randomly seen this topic), but even i know this was going to happen. and i see no problem in this. do you think it's problem to give fokin WR recs to mila?
3. hi

Re: eol release
would you mind sending them also to me? i promise i'll be nice
Re: eol release
I hope many are prepared not to ever experience eol then, good luck mila
Re: eol release
The button that makes all people lose?
Re: eol release
the badly designed button, obviously
Re: eol release
ez, I think I pressed that button 700000 times.
Re: eol release
I believe that's quite unfair to ask for WR recs to release eol but oh well, if WR-holders don't mind giving them to mila.
Re: eol release
I don't get it. First milagors spent long hours/days/weeks etc to make eol, then if he dones't collect all WRs, his hard work will be wasted. We still can play belma, so what is milas point?

Alright, first let me steal all of the WRs and i'll send you them
Re: eol release
That is a paradigmatic example of useless behavior here, mila. John probably will not be influenced by such posts. Ye, at least, you might get some replays from other people. But John's stance appears strong; asking him to write a thesis about his opinion might be a better way of proceeding. ;)
Just some thinking that happened to offer itself to me.

Re: eol release
Dear mopolauta. I have played some balles in the next past days. Including, my infamous, ribot-commisioned, "sapiens" level.
Some suggestions offered themselves to me, if there still are some chances for them to be implemented (if not already!). Those go as follows:
1) a tick-choice option to automatically adjust background zoom so as to match height of chosen resolution -- so as to prevent "sky lines";
2) democratic-, rather than authority-driven decision capabilities. In other words, let the mass choose and it to be able to vote-call. For example, for "time extension," before the end of a level, or for an "abortion of current level." Those would work by "F1:yes; F2:no" keys, or the like. Votes would have, e.g., 45 seconds for them to be cast.
Those are just basic ideas, and system-implementations which I think could be benefiting to be coded, and adequate in face of the fact that EOL might be the last version for all eternity (that is what is planned, right?). Such voting should not either be something to be abused. Temporary bans should serve as appropriate lessons for offenders. Perhaps, even, could such a ban also be cast by voting, e.g., a 3-days ban. I just am wanting to basically get my feet wet here, and see whether the community really that strongly prefers mass-, rather than admin-driven decision-making capabilities.
Not to necessarily be viewed as an authority on the matter, but, perhaps a post which should be for the best interest of all to be taken seriously. Not that those ideas are not to be debated -- they are. But, rather, in that it is ideas that make a scene evolve. I have seen ideas being proposed, e.g., the alovolt-key implementation one, that literally have revolutionalized the whole scene. Enough said. Time to put a dot to this message.

Re: eol release
The sky line is fixable with some default plus lgr that should be around somewhere.
I don't really like the voting thing. For aborts the rules are/should be clear and it's not really debatable wether or not a level is eligable to be battled, and if it's not, it should always be aborted.
As for time extension, it could be a nice thing in some cases, but I don't really like it either, because when a certain time for a battle has been set, players might set their playing strategy accordingly. For example if time is short one might not try some hard style but rather hoyl some easier one if one doesn't think the hard one is possible within the given time. And then time is extended and it might have been possible but one has wasted time on the easier one. Or if one has something else to do soon, but looks at the time and thinks like, uh I just have time for that 15 mins battle, and he will have to go mid battle if it's extended, which might not be the end of the world but annoying as he loses placements and can't see the rec (ofc can later from site).
Not that it matters as it's too late for anything.

lol i told you mila has all of John's recs already. they are good elma friends tho
Re: eol release
Isn't it unfair that someone with a wr who never played belma should also send rec?
Re: eol release
This is pathetic. I bet there always will be at least few WRs missing, since we have new table almost weekly and some people don't care about belma/eol

Re: eol release
just include script that saves every WR rec and copies it to your HDD, in 2 years you will have 54.
