Self-completing levs
Hey,
I had an idea the other day. I thought it would be fun to make levs where no human interference is needed. By this I mean designing levs in a way in which you do not have to press a button to make the bike move and complete the lev.
The goal would be to construct spectacular levs, and maybe there could be a poll on which one was the most creative.
I hope it has not been thought of before. What do you think?

Re: Self-completing levs
i think there is some randomness involved and sometimes you do finish, sometimes not
[carebox]
Re: Self-completing levs
That's a funny phenomen in headbanger, because sometimes you'll get past the first spike alive, and sometimes die in the roof, seems like 50/50 chance.milagros wrote:i think there is some randomness involved and sometimes you do finish, sometimes not
But anyway sounds like a funny idea, who gets the besttime without touching the keypad
Re: Self-completing levs
it sure is. I'm pretty sure I found such levs on moposite when I started playing 10-11 years ago.Lukazz wrote:this idea is as old as elma i think.

Most of them doesn't work with any setting other than luck, its random outcomes all the time.
Re: Self-completing levs
In the old official elastomania.com levpacks there were a myriad of autolevs, most often they included heavy usage of gravity apples
Re: Self-completing levs
AutolvlS is the one I remember being very old. It didn't work with 300fps, so I changed to 60 and then it worked.
Re: Self-completing levs
Yes, they are called autolevels. and are older than elma. I made several autolevels in across, so did others. I doubt you can make very spectacular level. Easy make long lev but when want spectacual it will be like mila said.
Elasto Mania - ez better
Re: Self-completing levs
Yeah I remember playing a few auto levs from elastomania.com links a very long time ago, turn was necessary in some though it seemed :/ would be cool contest though. from what i recall i dont ever remember any autolev ever being all that great.
God Bless America
Re: Self-completing levs
Autolevs are fucking awesome in N though. But in elma, I agree: no potential.
example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZyVMjaASQM at 7:15 is pretty epic DDA (don't-do-anything, synonym for autolev widely spread among the N community).

Re: Self-completing levs
Sick! I can't believe someone made such a cool autolev that makes tones exactly to background music It must have took DAYS to complete it...
edit: I can recognize only two songs of them (Suzumiya Haruhi - Intro at 0:45 and Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily Stage at 5:50 - Both incredibly awesome songs!!!), I wish I knew more
edit 2: 8:27 sounds kinda familiar, but can't tell what it is...

Re: Self-completing levs
Some auto-levs worked, and that was nice.
Other levels were made by fucking retard spawn-of-satan jaytea cum guzzling shitheaded cuntdickfaces and they didn't work.
That's all I remember of auto levels. Some were actually pretty spectacular!
jaytea sucks my cock
peace <3
