I go to mirc.com and ready to download... Then i see it!

"You have 30 days to register your shareware version"

WTF?
Shouldnt mIRC be free! Last time i used mIRC it was free!!!

Why have it started costing money??!?!

It is free, just don't buy it. The shareware works perfectly fine after 30 days as well.

yeah it works fine, but not perfectly fine. it keeps reminding you about registering randomly, which is quite annoying at times. as said, it works almost just like registered, but it's still shareware, so the author is waiting for your money, and hopefully get it if you're a gentle type of person.

Actually you can get mirc for 10$, it often offers some discount link on the please register thingie, at least it did in the past when I bought it.
