3: take a piece of tape, tape it on the floor to make it non sticky. then spin the tape around so it becomes like a thread. then tape the "thread" onto the pencil. then tape the magnet on the other end of the pencil. fold another piece of tape in order to make it sticky on both sides, one for the magnet the other for the ball. then u can put the construction with magnet first in the hole, and the "thread" in your hand and let the ball stick to the tape.

Q3: Place tape onto the pencil so that it can be lowered into the pipe, such that eyes can be drawn onto the ping-pong ball. Place the mirror over the pipe end such that the angle projects the image of the grandfather-clock down to the ball. Use the magnet to get the clocks pendulum swinging, and use this to hypnotise the ball. Once it is under your control, force it to come out of the pipe. After it is safely out, place tape over the pipes end. (May not be likely, but at least all items in the room were used.)

Q4: Nuts.
Q2: If you're really crap at maths

Nuts sounds like a perfect answer for Q4... but actually, nuts don't grow on trees... (Wood either)

If it meant to be the answer so this is a mistake!

BTW Jalli, questions where you need to factorize a number are easy for programers... I can make s program for that in a minute or two(not kidding)

Nuts is not the correct answer. Also if anyone has bothered into making a program they deserve the points :) But, ok, no more factorizing questions.

I'm also waiting for anyone who wants to takeover quiz for a round or two.

Q3: Take a pointer from the clock. Stick it to a piece of tape, then poke it down the pipe with the pen and make it stick to the ball. Then take a longer piece of tape and fasten the magnet on it. Sink this into the pipe and the magnet will stick to the pointer, and you can pull the ball out!

Q4: Apple (The Adam's apple on the throat)

Forget about all that crap, it's not a requirement to use all that so... just blow the ball out (The pipe is same size of the ball and ping pong balls are really light so i think it's possible... is it? :? )

Question 4: There is something that men always carry, but normally it grows on trees. What is it?

i like the apple answer

Question 5: Which prime numbers can 8888881 be factorized into?

it's too late for math :x [/i]

to measure coldness u would have to measure what temperature u think is cold, or define one, and then get the answer from there. but science hasnt done this, and i suppose it's not really a philosophic question, so u cant really say how something is twice as cold. or am i wrong.

you are rite and wrong,
it is possible to measure it, but u may just have to think about it,
i wont tell you how you are rite and wrong or i will give away the answer,
but it is definatly possible to work out

0° Celsius = 273° Kelvin

so twice as cold would be

273° K divided by 2 -> 136.5° K

and 136.5° K = -136.5° C

solution: -136.5° C tomorrow!

There's no such thing as coldness, only warmth.

The absolut zero is -273.15 C or 0 K. Anything with higher temperature than that has some warmth, even if it's just a little. So instead of saying "twice as cold" you should say "half as warm", which should be

-273.15 / 2 = -136.575 C.

But that temperature if of course impossible on earth. The record is -89 C,
on the south pole, of course.
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess

i wouldnt say -100 centigrades is warm. but sure, temperature is measuring how fast the particles are moving, the faster they move the warmer, and the warmer it is the faster times goes. (that's why u can freeze things to make them last longer).

btw i have an answer: 0 degrees C = -37 degrees coldness. because the human body is 37 degrees. so twice as cold is -74 degrees coldness, which is -37 degrees C. ye well it's philosophic point of view zworqy..

Hmm, temperature is more confusing than i thought...
Anyway, half of 0 is 0, so maybe the temperature tomorrow should be 0 as well...whatever...
