Sorry about not updating for a while ;)
Anyways, SveinR made no. 1, I'll give ribot correct in no. 2 (glass wasn't specified enough), ribot also made no. 3 and also 5 after a lot of tries (489)
This round I'll just use math questions while I sort out some new question from the game.

Standings:

11p: Zworqy
8p: ChuckleS
6p: djacosmo, ribot
4p: SveinR
2p: MagnusB, Ky.Jelly
1p: Sun, KD, jcl, Dariuz

Question 1: What is the last digit in 17^1996?

Question 2: Three friends has 5 tasks. All tasks must be done and all of them has to do at least one task. How many ways can they divide the tasks between them?

Question 3: The price to get into the museum is 10 dollars for grown ups and 5 dollars for children. One day there is 50 visitors and they get in total 350 dollars from people entering. How many adults visited the musuem that day?

Question 4: Dynamite is often used to "cut" down trees. To chop a tree that is 45 cms in diametre, you need 5 dynymitesticks. One on the north side, one in the south, one west, and one east. The fifth is placed in the side you want the tree to fall to. During the building of a damm, they had to chop a tree with the size mentioned above. A diver placed one stick on each side of the tree. Since the water was drifting towards south going 2 km/h, which side should the fifth stick be placed if the tree was to fell towards the north?

Question 5: 6 men and 6 woman are supposed to dance together. There are going to be 6 couples consisting of 1 man and 1 woman. In how many ways can they make these 6 couples?
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

Question 1: Two cars came driving. They stopped. Seven men left the cars and started walking along a path. It then started raining. Six of the men started going faster to get to their destination as fast as possible. The seventh didn't care. Ironically enough the seventh man didn't get wet, but all the other got soaked. All the men reached the destination at the same time. How can this be?

Question 2: Three friends has 5 tasks. All tasks must be done and all of them has to do at least one task. How many ways can they divide the tasks between them?

Question 3: Tom Benson introdused Ben Benson to his friend as "Uncle Ben". Ben Benson introdused Tom Benson as "Uncle Jan". Then one of their friends said; "If you are eachothers uncles, then you also are eachothers nephews". "That is correct" replied Tom. How can this be without braking the laws? (and they lived in England, OK ;))

Here are the different combinations:
F=Friend
T=Task
Fx = yT means that Friend nr. x does y tasks.

Code: Select all

F1 = 2T    F1 = 2T    F1 = 1T
F2 = 2T    F2 = 1T    F2 = 2T
F3 = 1T    F3 = 2T    F3 = 2T

F1 = 3T    F1 = 1T    F1 = 1T
F2 = 1T    F2 = 3T    F2 = 3T
F3 = 1T    F3 = 1T    F3 = 1T
As you probably understand, it doesn't matter which task which friends does. The tasks don't even have numbers.

hmmm.... so if you are correct so i just didnt understand the question well cause its not clear enough....

I think that jalli meant that these ways are counted as different ways :

Code: Select all

         Task      1  2  3  4  5
Friend
   1               x  x  x
   2                        x
   3                           x

Code: Select all

         Task      1  2  3  4  5
Friend
   1               x  x     x
   2                     x
   3                           x
and if so... i should be correct...

Q4: It MUST be north!!!!! The extra dynamite should be placed in the direction you want the tree to fall, which was NORTH!!!!!!! And who cares about the f***ing water, it doesn't affect the tree until afterwards, anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT, as I said before, you can't ignite dynamite underwater!!!!!!

Question 4: Everything thats been said is right, you woulodnt be able to use dynamite underwater...but the water in the 'dam' cant be like a lake, apprantly its flowing at 2km/h probably because the dam isnt finished.
Anyway, like my first answer, you wouldnt need a 5th stick!

btw jalli, about cutting the trees, u asked which direction the tree was to fall, not where it was to float if nothing would catch the tree or whatever.

Here was the question:

Question 4: Dynamite is often used to "cut" down trees. To chop a tree that is 45 cms in diametre, you need 5 dynymitesticks. One on the north side, one in the south, one west, and one east. The fifth is placed in the side you want the tree to fall to. During the building of a damm, they had to chop a tree with the size mentioned above. A diver placed one stick on each side of the tree. Since the water was drifting towards south going 2 km/h, which side should the fifth stick be placed if the tree was to fell towards the north?

The answer was that it wouldn't fall to the north no matter what. It would just float to the surface.
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.
