maybe i'll do some external editor with some possibilities like to do some rounded objects and so on...
that would be quite easy, only some levelmaking kuskis would not like it i think
..it's much easier and comfortable than editing internal one
and today i'll take a look for a few minutes at window mode
maybe i'll do it fast, maybe never

Problemos
I Have some problems... I'm Trying to import the OLP levels to internal (using resedit) The problem is that the levels inside the res file is named A01.leb, A02.leb ... A42.leb (EDIT: Thats not 100% right, some of the wierd names are totaly mixed up with the AXX.leb files )and the rest of the levels have some wierd names (Kermit.leb, UJCSAB.LEB, UJTAG.LEB)... I Know the tag level is named UJTAG.leb but most of the lebnames dosn't make sense...

minor fix or is it minor
I don't know which topic I should have added this ,but I wanna mention couple little fixes that hibernatus could do to make the hoyling more comfortable.
1) alternative ESC button. That should also work on replays, not only when you are playing.
2) side-effects of pressing "alovolt" in the menu. If you play a level where you need alovolt(Q) right in the begin,it's irritating if you happen to press it before pressing enter. It starts a replay. (jumps 2 down) 2b) If alternative brake button(W) is pressed in that menu,it jumps to "best times". Maybe it's different for every button, but if the "jump to first letter" thing could be disabled in that menu right before you play. (Level menu),it would be solved.
I use 1.11h ,but Im pretty sure i had the problem on 1.2beta when I used it,i would have noticed and be using that :)

Maybe someone allready said this, but I didn't read all posts of this topic.
I would like a feature to save rec.'s of previous rides, not only of the last one. Sometimes I drive a level and do something (a new style to me, or whatever) but I die. Than I press "play again" but I can't drive the same style/thing as the drive before. I can't remember what I did, but I didn't make a rec....
So I want a feature what saves recs in a temporary file, so I can watch or save this recs later. After one or two rides, the feature can overwrite the recs, so it wouldn't take to much space on your disk.
Second feature I want, this isn't possible other people want this before, is an option to organize recs in different folders (sub-folders of the "rec"-folder) and the option to browse and watch them.

Have someone already said this?
A really really handy feature would be that whenever you pass a level,
the game would automatically save "temp.rec" to your replay folder.
It would stay there as long as you finish another level, which would naturally overwrite the temp.rec. That way, you would never have to worry about forgetting save replay.

another idea, dunno if said before :
possibility to drive a live run with merged replay.
you could know when you have to drive faster, when you did something wrong (even by miliseconds), and you'll have a competition too
what are you sayin?

Oh man...this is what has been said by others perhaps the most... Ghost rider?WkE wrote:another idea, dunno if said before :

And some people are for it, but many many are against it.
not ghost rider! like driving with replay behind you... like merged replays - but live (one driver is you, the other one is the replay)
or maybe thats what you mean when you say "ghost rider"?
anyway, if many ppl said it, so maybe it IS needed
(and don't forget that for every successful idea there are many ppl against it)

A full map of the levs option in the level menu.
pro: easier find better styles and get over look on levels
con: removes the meaning of hidden secret areas

I planned to test it myself on two comps with disassembler running on both of them and possibility to trace line after line - ez debugged in 20 mins together, now quite annoying
