Those look like great times, well done! Could you post your times (for each level) in the thread started by gimp in the "Replays and Times" forum.

Re: Elasto Mania iOS version
All pack 118:09:05 :-) Am i missing something? There are only 4 packs yes? How such huge TT from you and Abula? Perhaps you havent completed the first level or second without hitting the helmet. That will add some 20 minutes to your time. Perhaps he is referring to total for both the black and red ...

Re: Elasto Mania iOS version
I just tried the iOS version. It is the real deal. The game is very well made and is easily the closest thing to the real Elma. The controls are probably as good as they can get for a touch device. You have the option of using left/right keys separately (double touch) or you can use the single touch...

Re: The fastest possible internal times program
Guys, I've suggested this about 5 years ago: http://mopolauta.moposite.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6068
I still think this is possible. In fact I could probably do it if someone gives me the source to Elma or at least tells me how the physics works.

Re: Best elma app
I see elma as a game that on the surface looks simple, but is incredibly hard to master and become pro. A tiny variation in controls causes big difference in how the bike handles and the final time. Its great to see that elma records are still being improved after all this time. Very few racing game...

Best elma app
Have you guys played jelly car 3 on iPad? I think it is the closest thing to an elma app. It has cool physics and levels require lots of hoyling to get a good time. I really like the expand/shrink feature, sticky, balloons and motorized pads.

Are you a fucking idiot loser from Mars? You pay thousands of dollars for a shitty facebook machine and you think a $40 OS is too expensive to play a loooooow spec game? You are such an idiot you are almost as idiot as X-ratio. Holy shit I cannot even think of how much of an idiot you are, go away!...

Sorry for the dumb question, but where can I find the latest total times?
The best I found is this: http://www.moposite.com/records.php?aa= ... p100&dd=TT
which is more that 1 year old.

Re: Elasto for iPhone
I was going to download the SDK for iPhone and learn how to use it to make programs. I would love to have a crack at making Elasto for iPhone, although that would be awfully hard to get right. If I can somehow find out how Elasto physics works then I could try and get something simple to work.

Elasto for iPhone
How cool would it be to have Elasto for iPhone/touch? You hold the iPhone horizontally. You have buttons for break, accelerate and reverse and you control the direction of the bike by rotating the iPhone. You would struggle on levels where you have to do a full 360 rotation, but other than that ever...

Re: Optimal Elma player
The other point i see as problematic is how you can separate the tolerable replays from the untolerable. Let's take the famous stini bounce as an example: If the agent managed to understand enigma and how to drive the fastest style possible (let's imagine that the actual style is the fastest possib...

Re: Optimal Elma player
Hello all, I think I've caused some serious confusion here, so let me explain. The agent I want to create is just a computer science exercise, just like people have created chess/backgammon/othello/checkers/poker computer engines. In chess, backgammon and othello programs play stronger than world ch...

Re: Optimal Elma player
Thank you for that insightful post Milagros! I now see that the problem is easier than I thought originally. You are right - there is no uncertainty and we know the exact model. If for example, we didn't know what level the agent is in then it would be more suitable for RL. This raises the question:...

Re: Optimal Elma player
The finite accuracy of the variables used by the physic engine and your frame rate cause the fact that your ride is non-deterministic even if in so-called 'auto-levels' where you don't have to press any buttons: the bike still acts differently in each ride. Actually if the variations are small (fro...

Re: Optimal Elma player
AFAIK the collision scripts use type double. So bike is going to act differently each time you execute the same moves sequence. In that case any kind of macro/neural network or howsoever it's called is not going to work. I don't know if you are already aware of this issue. What collision scripts ar...

Re: Optimal Elma player
You should ask the code from milagros. He has made quite many additions to the game and probably already knows the source code by heart. But I think he has to code it in assembly because balazs hasn't given the original source code. So milagros reimplemented elma in assembly?!? That sounds hard. Ho...

he generally ignores you or gives you a cryptic auto email about the release date of elma 2. Actually we don't need the source. It will be sufficient to simulate keystrokes inside Elma and have Elma provide us with our current state. The state comprises of: current time, number of apples eaten, pos...

Man that looks bad. Lets hope the fire crews can prevent this catastrophe. Yesterday in Canberra, we had about 41 degrees, which is close to being the hottest ever around here. I am currently sitting half naked, 10cm away from a fan and its still bloody hot. I can't wait when colder weather starts!

Optimal Elma player
The other day I had an idea: what if we create the optimal Elma player? This is how it works. An Elma player can be modeled as a Reinforcement Learning agent with 5 available actions: throttle, break, left, right and turn. If the agent has collected all the apples he enters the terminal state and re...
