What externals do you play ?

Post by dz »

i was wondering what externals/contests you guys are playing right now. there isnt any big cup going on which is a shame, but all these contests, their everywhere.

i now play mostly Los Levels(really cool levs), Oldschool Internals and my own levels.

HK hoyla levs

Post by Abula »

Last night and this afternoon I played a little bit those HK hoyla levels. Mainly because I wanted to beat Hibernatus there. About 2 hours ago I sent in a few records. I'm looking forward if I take the lead.

i´m really looking forward for some new big cup instead of all contest which are quite boring after all... mostley of them has either bad levels or very slow updating speed...

i don't play at all but i'd like a big cup . but a big cup is only possible if it's on moposite . it's possible even if abula doesn't wanna run it , but someone else could update and then publish it on moposite . but i would love a team cup . butt

Indeed. I assure you that any delay is unlikely to be due to me, since I'm online a hell of a lot more than Moz at the moment cos he has to go to school. h0h0.

The levels I play

Post by Petri »

Right now I play psy's old levels and my own levels.
The reasons for this are that I'm too lazy to download any levels, let alone test them, and the external level lists of my two Elma directories are always set near these levels and I don't feel like scrolling a few minutes to get to play some other levs.

I played some Petri's levs too and made one perfect time that no one can ever break, 21,00 or something. Maybe I could post the lev to Times and replays forum that everyone can praise me.

Don`t say "played", it`s OK to say "cheated", like "I cheated Warm Up, Warm Up, Warm Up, Warm Up, tried some on Freefall, but nah (that lev sux), then i cheated Warm Up, Warm Up, Warm Up, and finally Warm Up, hmmm cant say i've played externals at all"
No1 will judge you, it`s OK, man, just relax and cheat some more - 13:xx on WarmUp`ll b enough i think.

Playing now

Post by GuyB »

Lately the danish scene has run amok with contest.. both national and international.. So im playing those .. .The knockout-competition by toaster and H2O2mandens new levelpack... plus spetzlers levels .. and MxB´s levels are also on the way ... ... .. but yes .. Mostly externals at the moment

GuyB[rdk]

ps .. that cheattalk ...
1 : if your friends and just havin fun, then its ok .. I guess
2 : If you are damn sure that it is cheated, then its ok .. I guess

If none of the above .. then please stop it .. Its so annoying to hear and removes any credit someone should get for doing something really cool

.. no offense

I'm just gonna answer on the topic:

Right now I don't play any externals at all, but I've been known to play:

Skint0r's levs, LOS levs, Top 10 packs levs, and some other random levs, don't bother writing them down.

Anyway, I think it's gonna be great when the wc starts, so I can get off those bloody internals
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

I only seem to be playing my own levels, and Devin's levels. Every contest i've ever played was (is) soooo boring, and people proceed to make those long/high jump contests which are,
  1. Incredibly boring
  2. Unoriginal
  3. made by people who don't know **** about making levels.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you make levels for elma, (or any game) aren't they supposed to be fun?? Isn't that the whole point? Oh, and I know i'm going back on myself here, but sadly, for some reason i've always liked the "crazy hoyla" levels.

Greetings to Skint for his levels.

Most of the first levels suck like hell, don't play them (especially avoid nr. 7. UUGH!)

LOM is too much work, and I suck at making levels to themes. :]

Blah, I've made one pipe level and it sucked like hell. I hated making it.
I guess I could try to make something else out of the theme (e.g something with the internal "Pipe"), but I doubt I'll bother.

Maybe next month. :]

You have some good levels, but that one really was quite sucky. Nice idea, but the textures were too ugly.
