bah, you wouldn't be able to accelerate/brake with the 3rd wheel. The wheel you react as a wheel, it would rotate if it touches a wall but, no way to control it...
No way you can have a good playability with 3 wheels to control...

yep. it is short for 'out of the box'. not that i got it in a box... it just means i have the standard ELMA and no patches, but i am keen to see this nitro thing...

it is a bit of a celebration for me, as i did ALL the internal levels today, or rather, i completed the level i was stuck on.

it was only 'hooked' that I was stuck on, and i neglected it for about 2 months. today i did the 'b**ta*d' and now i have them all : ).. .

Hi, it is me, the n00b-y one again with a question regarding times...

Does anyone know what kind of time I need on Apple Harvest to get the sign that says 'You Made The Top 10' when finished? I have 3mins 47secs at the moment (I can hear the giggles...), but this does not give me the 'You Made The Top 10' sign at the end and as a consequence I get 10 minutes added to my total stats time : ((

If you do not know what I mean, open your stats.txt file and read down at the bottom where it says...

"The following are the single player total times for individual players.
If a player doesn't have a time in the top ten for a level, this
will add ten minutes to the total time."

Apple Harvest is the only level that I do not have this 'top 10' time, and I want to know what sort of times I need to aim for...

oh, any n00b style recs appreciated (I need to make my way to the top of the apple plie 3 times in order to get all the apples on this level...). I can post mine if you want to experience 3mins 47secs of pain... : )

To get that message, you need to make a time that is in the top10 of the level, without beating the first time... in this case, the message "Best time" will appear.

nope . it is not a bad joke : ( please try completing the First Level (warm up) in a bad time like 1 minute or something. You will get a message that says your time, e.g. 00.59.25 or something. That is all.

Now do the same level (warm up) a bit faster in maybe 17 seconds or so. You will get a different message saying that 'You have made the top 10' (providing you have not beat your previous record).

So, there is a certain 'cut off' time for each level that means they if you are under this 'cut off' time, you will get a message saying 'you made the top 10'.

Apple Harvest is the only level that I have not got a top 10 record for, and hence I am penalised in my stats.txt by an additional 10 minutes.

I do not know the 'cut off' time for the Apple Harvest, and so far I have not been able to get this 'top 10' message. So, I was wondering if anyone knew this 'cut off' point (AKA top 10 threshold) for Apple Harvest so I know what to aim for.

If that does not make sense, then I have no idea how to re-word it. Ok, and next time I will start a new thread with a proper name instaed of hijacking an old thread of mine.

An idea, for those more talented would be to try and complete Apple Harvest in a few different times until you get the 'top 10' message, and then record this time... but I guess that is asking quite a lot of you : )

I can upload my stats.txt later from home if anyone still wants it. FTP is blocked in work : (((

somebody might have edited text 'Best time!' to empty one so you don't see it when you drive best time but not top10

Did you even try what I said regarding this level WARM UP? then you will see what I mean. Do WARM UP in 1 minute. Read the message when complete. No go back and do WARM UP in something like 17 seconds. Read the message when complete.

it takes me quite a long time to get to my top10:)
i bet if you start with new time and get 59.xx, you'll get best time
it writes you made the top10 when you got to top10:)

exactly. and it is only Apple Harvest that I have not got within the 'top 10' for. and I do not know the time that I need to get under in order to get within the top 10. Try later at home, and one day this week I will also try and 'up' my stats file.

You need to beat the last time in the top10 for the level, even if the top10 isn't full yet to get the message.

So in other words, you have to beat the worst time to get the "You made the top 10" message even if there aren't 10 times for the level yet.

I think there is nothing wrong with that.. Your total time is that 01:10:09:42 and nothing else, apple harvest time is counted just like others and everything is just so as it has to be..
