66 hours of elma playing

Post by darm »

Maybe i got crazy but i played Elma for 72 hours and slept only for 6 hours during this period. Ofcourse results are cool etc. but my eyes are vampire like now and hands are nearly shaking. And now I`am asking myself - is it worth of it?

That is true Nostradamus, but your hoyling isn´t completely sane either... That was my point. Of course I would spend that time to if I found a trick/style whatever that made me able to take a legendary wr...

there was a try 3 years ago to beat Guiness-book WR in playing computer games (official)
those maniacs (i think 3 won) played over a week (170 hours)
then they killed themselves in Doom
they had 5min/hour pause
most of players felt asleep after 2-3 days

..so 66hours is normal
come on, DMD, you can beat it

someone here MUST contact guiness WRs, maybe go for it in FEM? (or not if it's too short) but that would be insane. imagine the recs you could produce in the first days....

my dad has gone without sleep for a whole week once.

I played consistently for 96h without sleep, food and without taking my eyes of the screen at one occasion. My right wrist is slightly impaired permanently since that bingeing - liquid filled, which I have to empty regularily. But yeah, apart from when playing Elma for 4 days, I've as well gone without sleep for a whole week, 7 days and nights. But I wouldnt recommend anyone to binge longer than 2 days really.

With amount of time spent with Elma without breaks, most levs are getting increasing similarities with 31 and go 48 the 45 in the end.

Caffeine? Well, personally I need larger amounts of released norepinephrine and dopamine in order to find motivation to play consistently for that long. Maybe some other crazy kuski would find Elma that max stimulating and maintain focus with nothing but caffeine, but I don't.

I go get some coffee now, though

there was one competition in computer playing in slovakia
there were trying to beat wr (it was some 10 years ago)
the wr was 7 days and some hours (they had 5 mins break every hour and so on..)
4 guys managed to play more a fwe hours more and they didint want ot make it much longer so they've killed each other in doom tournament that time and the winner took the wr

When I was learning how to do warm up with alovolt (first time getting teh), I stayed at my friends and played all night for 12h...just on warm up, and the result was maybe 14,89 -> 14,41 lmao

only other things over 3h was Curva wr style, took me 4 hours to just finish the facking lev, and took me about 5 hours to finish zig zag wit styles i was learning

longest i've ever played elma straight on one particular level is just under 2 hours, when i got my ramp from 53,29 to 52,50. next is probably loop with 1 and quarter hours, when i got from 18,20 to 17,99. i just find it hard to play the same level for hours and hours. i get bored too easily.
