Western old cup

Post by western »

this cup is only featuring previously released levels. these are carefully selected.

levels: still in selection (you can make suggestions)
cup start: depend on whatever date people want

webpage: i think this thread could make it. this page will be updated with results after each event

Q: this type of cup sucks. you mean, we play levels we have already played? get a better idea
A: you play levels you might already have played, yes. one of them is also chosen from wcup 3

Q: who are you, western? ban the n00b with phantom nicks
A: contrary to popular belief, western is just western; get over it

Q: how will point be distributed?
A: better times will get better points

Q: what kind of levels?
A: preferably around 25

Q: anything else I need to know?
A: this post will periodically be updated
Igge wrote:25 levels?
no, that was in seconds.
western wrote:I'm wondering whether to include MOPSI003, MOPSI004, and MCLE002. there is something nice about the latter "box terror," but nice times in that level seem to mostly lie on luck... so this makes me doubt whether to propose MOPSI003 (not complex enough) and MCLEOD2 (luck-dependent in two different parts?).

what do you think, should we give those classic levels a chance?
p.s. basic idea of the cup is to see what times are possible in such levels.
western wrote:ok now situation is solved. MOPSI003 might enter as a bonus level, MOPSI004 has been edited, and together with MCLE002 will enter the nomination process.
western wrote:be welcomed to design your own levels for the cup, or sending me in your own most-classic levels, as if I judge them to be appropriate for the cup they may well enter the nomination process.

maybes you could have say, a list of 100 old levels written down.

then DON'T TELL US WHICH YOU'LL CHOOSE

have the format of 10 Old Levels, 10 New levels that you make, this way people can't hoyl prior to the Cup unless they hoyl all 100 listed levels, and also edit all old levels to put some "western cup Event 4" so people can't submit old recs.

this way we get a nice integration of 10 sweet old levels, 10 awesome new levels and a nice cup.

i thought "no cheating" was like a universal rule, and it turns out you still broke that one on purpose, so i don't see why you'd need to hear the other rules.

(this was in seconds!)

also, I like the idea of mixing my own levels inside the pack. thing is, my free time being limited, this just isn't an option. I would like to design my own, but I'm just so perfectionist that I won't embark in it.

still, if you'd like to design your own levels, go for it.
level selection will be done carefully, p.s. I'm so critical

also, graphics don't count. the only factor: do you get bored after hoyling for days? if not, get it done. ;)
Have other people send you levs, and when you have 50% of new levs you like select the other 50% and ther eyou go! Not had to move a muscle ;)

Lol, that might have been an offensive comment if he actually made bad runs, but unlike you he made good runs WITHOUT cheating. And he even beat you on a few events without cheating. I think you should crawl into some hole somewhere and light a candle.

How can you have a nick like Cocok? each time I "pronounce" it (in my head mostly :P) it sounds just too stupid

Co is like the danish word Ko which is a Cow in English and C0k is of course cok -> Cock
Does a cow have a cock? .. let me think.. no? or is it maybe a Cow/Cock mixed together? Then Ill call myself H3nBitch from now on.

That's just discrediting your own opponent...

BoneLESS went straight to DH6:
Coc0k: Memphis' skills aren't up to mine!
Bone: But your skills aren't even legitimate...

Coc0k's thesis went straight to the water, and he knew it.
