I am personally looking forward for short track speed skating, hockey, and Jamaica's bobsleigh team.
They are starting just by my eyes as I am writing!

Watched the opening ceremony last night (came 3.45 am Finnish time), was quite nice.
The Georgian team with their heads down was quite hard to see, the tragic death of their team mate must affect their performance :L
The sports that are must-see for me are ice hockey, ski jumping and women's figure skating, mostly because of the possible success of Finnish competitors. I'm probably going to follow just about everything that's on anyway.

The artistic representation of Canada was pretty much decent. It's such a beautiful country!

I'll probably watch as much as I can.

It was a very sad thing, that death I mean, and it took some interest towards the Olympics off me. I've also been busy with other things and haven't been able to see even the opening ceremony. However I think I will be following the events from now on. Does anyone know if there are some decent internet streams to see some live action?

Canada 18 - 0 Slovakia
If you think this is pwnage... check this out: in a pre-Olympic game (to qualify for the actual Games), Slovakia was against Bulgaria. Here is the score:
lol
By the way, sorry mila for Slovakia's humiliation, but women's hockey belongs to Canada all the way. The only team that stands a tiny chance against Team Canada is United States. Still, decent win on Bulgaria

It wasn't the concept of pursuit John was referring to, but the fact that they released some athletes at wrong times than they were supposed to. Like Olofsson in the women's race, she got held back 14 secs more than she was supposed to, and a couple of the men were released about 30 secs sooner than they should have been.
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

Yeah, Sweden has done a bit worse (2-0 and 4-2 wins against Germany & Belarus), but I'm still afraid Sweden will beat Finland on Monday. It's a curse.

Finland's game against Germany was really good. The third goal (I think) was extremely nice, and proved how well they play during PP.
Finland will beat Sweden, easily.

I love it when someone comes along and dominates their own sport. Having someone superior like that can make any sport interesting.
Ammann is just that kind of person. A couple of incredibly well-deserved wins.
